The soccer team's leading scorer was taking a shot on goal when he collided with defender Tyler Hemming. Dichio suffered a muscle tear which was discovered after undergoing an MRI Thursday night. Dichio will not travel with the team to Dallas on Friday for a game on Saturday night against FC Dallas.
"Obviously, we're very happy that the injury is not a season-ending one," said head coach Mo Johnston. "Danny is an important part of this team, both on the field and off of it and we will still miss him while he recovers."
