QPR Confirm Blackstock Injury

-
News about Dexter Blackstock injury, somewhat belatedly reported on QPR's Official Site. As was noted yesterday on QPR Report Blackstock had withdrawn from the England U-21 team (before the Norwich game). Subsequently according to messageboards and now in newsreports, Blackstock reportedly had knee surgery will be out for six weeks.

QPR Official Site - INTERNATIONAL ROUND-UP -
Dexter Blackstock has been ruled out of the latest England Under-21 squad.
The R's front-man was named in Stuart Pearce's squad for the Young Lions' Euro 2009 qualifiers against Montenegro and the Republic of Ireland, but after missing Rangers' Championship fixture against Norwich City with a knee injury, the 21 year-old has been forced to withdraw from the squad.
Blackstock, who penned a one year extension to his QPR contract last week, had minor keyhole surgery on his knee at the weekend to tidy up the cartilage.
Blackstock's new QPR team-mate Martin Cranie will travel with the squad though, as Pearce's men look to build on their 100 per-cent record in the tournament so far.
Elsewhere, Ben Sahar is back in the Israel squad for their Euro 2008 qualifier against Croatia on Saturday, while Damion Stewart will link up with the Jamaican squad.
