Ex-QPR boss lines up Maccabi Petach Tikva post
Former Queens Park Rangers boss John Gregory is in contention to become the new coach of Maccabi Petach Tikva.
Gregory was in the stands to watch the Israeli side's 1-1 draw with Maccabi Herzliya on Saturday and is expected to hold talks with the board on Sunday.
He admits that he could be tempted by the prospect of coaching Maccabi Petach Tikva after being sacked as QPR manager at the start of October.
"I love coming to Tel Aviv," Gregory is quoted in the News of the World. "I've friends here and have kept up with Israeli football.
"There were a couple of offers in the past.
"I would never turn down the chance to work in Israel, I love the country." Sky Sports
