QPR Reportedly Commit to Signing Vine

QPR have agreed to sign Rowan Vine on a permanent basis in January after bringing him back to Loftus Road for a second loan spell.
Vine's initial loan ran out after Saturday's game against Hull and Rangers appeared to be fighting a losing battle in their attempts to re-sign him prior to the Coventry match.
But Birmingham finally agreed to allow the 25-year-old frontman to return on Tuesday afternoon, provided the Rs committed themselves to buying him when the next transfer window opens.
Blues boss Steve Bruce forked out £2.5m to bring Vine from Luton just under a year ago and will want to recoup most of that fee for a striker who has made just two Carling Cup appearances for him this season.
Vine is keen to stay at Loftus Road, despite indicating last week that he might return to St Andrew's if Mick Harford was overlooked for the QPR manager's job.
The return of Vine completed a double transfer success for Rangers as they overcame competition from several other clubs to sign Scott Sinclair on a six-week loan deal from Chelsea.
Sinclair, who made his QPR debut against Coventry, will effectively be a replacement for Hogan Ephraim, who returned to West Ham yesterday after the third month of his loan spell ended.
Rangers have an arrangement with the Stamford Bridge club to loan any three of their players at one time, enabling Sinclair to join up with team-mates Michael Mancienne and Ben Sahar.
The club currently have six loan players - the Chelsea trio, Vine, Jason Jarrett (Preston) and Akos Buzsaky (Plymouth) and are permitted to include a maximum of five among their starting 11 and five substitutes.
Sinclair, who started his career at Bristol Rovers, spent a successful loan period with Plymouth last season, but has since made six appearances for Chelsea and scored his first goal for them against Hull in the Carling Cup last month.
The youngster has also represented England up to under-19 level, but was dropped from the national squad recently after he and two team-mates broke a curfew.
"It's a tremendous signing for the club," said QPR chairman Gianni Paladini. "Scott is a superb young player and we're delighted Chelsea have agreed to let him join us.
"The fact Scott has chosen us over an array of other clubs in this division says so much about what we are trying to do here."
Paladini was due to attend an extraordinary general meeting at Loftus Road today to ratify the takeover of the club by Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone.
Shareholders were expected to approve four resolutions that would see £5m worth of loans from the new owners converted into shares in QPR Holdings.
A chunk of that loan was used to finance the purchase of Mikele Leigertwood from Sheffield United just before the close of the August transfer window.
Briatore was also seeking an amendment to the company articles, which would allow the board to appoint up to eight directors in total rather than the existing limit of three, with Paladini remaining as chairman. Kilburn Times
