BIRMINGHAM OFFICIAL SITE - VINE EXTENDS R'S LOAN
Blues have today extended the loan of striker Rowan Vine to Championship side Queens Park Rangers for a further two months.
The 25-year-old former Luton man has been at Loftus Road for a month, in which time he has helped drag the R's off the foot of the table and out of the relegation zone courtesy of a five match unbeaten run.
Vine's only goal for the London club came on his debut at Colchester, although the team lost 4-2.
The striker may not have scored since then but he has clearly played his part in the upturn in fortunes and impressed new boss Luigi De Canio.
"I am very happy that we have managed to extend Rowan's loan deal," De Canio told his club's official website.
"I've been very impressed with his contribution so far and he is a great asset for us.
"His enthusiasm and professionalism is very good and I am looking forward to working with him in the months ahead."
Vine's new loan deal will take him up to the turn of the year although Blues can recall him at any time after December 1.
Following the extension he is eligible to play for The R's Championship game against Coventry City this evening. Birminghan
