Owen Coyle looks to continue his unbeaten start to his Turf Moor tenure when QPR are the visitors for Tuesday evening's re-arranged clash.
The Clarets are currently sitting pretty in seventh place in the Championship and victory could see Burnley up to fourth in the table, but Coyle is taking nothing for granted against the league's bottom placed side.
"QPR presents a tough obstacle for us but if we continue in that vein of form believing we can pass the ball effectively and create opportunities then that will do for us," said Coyle
"The lads have set the standards in previous matches and we have to try and attain those standards.
"Regardless of whose top or bottom in the Championship, each game is very difficult and QPR will be no different. They are fighting for their lives at the bottom end of the table and they'll come here looking to get a result.
"We'll give them the respect they are due, we know they have good players in their team but we'll concentrate on what we can do at Burnley and hope to express that on the pitch."
The Clarets have claimed impressive victories on the road recently, but Coyle is still awaiting his first home win as Burnley boss Both performances against Stoke and Leicester certainly merited all three points and the gaffer is confident that the coveted home victory is just around the corner.
"Both home games should have ended in victories. It was a little bit of bad luck on both occasions," added Coyle.
"We just have to keep banging away on that door. The more we do that it will eventually open for us and when it does those draws will turn to wins.
"We'll keep positive and believing in what we are doing. We need to keep passing the ball, getting the shots and crosses in, trying to entertain and trying to win football matches.
"The home performances have been great though. Obviously it's been highlighted because we have won the away games and drawn at home.
"There are times in all games when they are going to be under pressure and have to defend for their lives. In the main we want them to be positive, have a bright outlook and go achieve positive results by playing good football.
"It's all credit to the players. They have taken that on board and produced those performances. We've all got to be singing from the same hymn sheet. The more we stick together, the more wins and success we'll bring to Burnley Football Club."
