Barnsley Preview QPR

-
Barnsley - QPR: FIVE TO WATCH
FIVE QPR players to keep an eye on at Loftus Road tomorrow.

LEE CAMP
Goalkeeper Lee Camp signed from Derby County for a fee of £300,000 in July 2007.
After two successful loan spells with the R's, Camp, 22, finally made his switch to W12 permanent by putting pen to paper on a three-year deal.
Camp had already enjoyed two successful loan spells in W12, albeit for very different reasons, prior to his summer transfer.
He first joined QPR for the final two months of the 2003/4 campaign and made 12 appearances between the sticks to help the Club win promotion to the Championship.
During the 2006/07 campaign, John Gregory brought Camp back to West London to play an integral role in the final three months of the season.
Once again his performances helped the R's, as this time he did his bit to keep Rangers in the second tier of English football.
Camp was a regular in the Derby side during the 2004/5 campaign and, at the end of that season, he won the Sammy Crooks Young Player of the Year award.
He made a total of 97 appearances for the Pride Park outfit.
Camp, who also spent loan spells with Burton Albion and Norwich City, has won international recognition with England Under 21s, and was in goal for their first match at the New Wembley Stadium in March 2007, a 3-3 draw with Italy.

GAVIN MAHON
A solid and reliable midfielder, Gavin Mahon began his professional career at Hereford United, for whom he made 50-plus appearances.
Mahon earned a transfer to Brentford, for a fee of £50,000, in November 1998 and it was at Griffin Park that he firmly established himself in the professional game.
After making 150-plus starts for the Bees, the no-nonsense midfielder moved to Watford near the end of the ill-fated Gianluca Vialli reign at Vicarage Road.
Mahon played an integral role in the Hornets' upturn in fortunes and was rewarded by being named Player of the Season at the end of the 2003/04 campaign.
He successfully skippered the Club to promotion in May 2006 and made 36 appearances in their one season stay in the top-flight.
Mahon joined QPR in an emergency loan deal in January 2008, making his debut from the substitutes' bench against Leicester City on New Years Day.

DEXTER BLACKSTOCK
QPR added to their attacking options by completing the signing of Southampton striker Dexter Blackstock, for an undisclosed fee, in August 2006.
The hardworking front-man penned a three year contract at Loftus Road and immediately stamped his undoubted class on proceedings in W12.
Blackstock bagged 14 goals in all competitions, linking up effectively with R's Player of the Year Lee Cook.
His reward arrived in the shape of the R's Young Player of the Year award at the Club's end of season showcase.
A scorer of three goals in just seven first team starts for the Saints in 2005/06, Blackstock spent time on loan with Derby County and Plymouth Argyle during his three year spell on the South coast.

PATRICK AGYEMANG
Patrick Agyemang joined QPR from Preston in January 2008 on a four-and-a-half year deal.
Agyemang, who signed for North End in a deal in the region of £300,000 from Gillingham, joined Rangers after the two Clubs agreed an undisclosed fee for his services.
The pacy and powerful forward made his name at Wimbledon, where he came through the ranks and went on to make 116 appearances, scoring 22 goals.
He went on to make 31 appearances in his first season with the Whites, chipping in with four goals in all competitions, before netting six times in the following campaign.
His fine form earned him a recall to the Ghana squad, three years after his last and only other appearance, and he went on to pick up three caps for his country, but was left out of the final 23 man squad for the World Cup.
Injury curtailed much of his 2006/07 campaign, but his statistics were still highly impressive, bagging seven goals in just 10 starts

ROWAN VINE
Queens Park Rangers completed the emergency loan signing of Birmingham City front-man Rowan Vine on Tuesday 2nd October 2007.
The 25 year-old signed a one month loan deal, which was later extended by a further two months at the start of November.
Vine joined Blues from fellow Championship side Luton Town in January 2007 for a substantial but undisclosed fee.
During his time at St Andrews, Vine has been used sparingly and has made a total of 19 appearances, scoring one goal.
Vine, who scored against the R's for Luton in an FA Cup third round tie at Loftus Road last season, will wear squad number 26. Barnsley

CHRIS BARKER
QPR secured the free transfer signing of Chris Barker in the summer of 2007, after the defender was released by Cardiff City.
Barker, who spent last season on loan at Championship newcomers Colchester United from Cardiff City, was widely expected to join the U's on a permanent deal in the summer, but John Gregory jumped to the front of the queue and duly made him his first signing of the summer at the start of June.
Barker made 39 appearances in all competitions whilst on loan at Layer Road last season, and was widely regarded as the U's most consistent performer throughout the campaign.
The Sheffield born defender began his career at non-league outfit Alfreton, before Barnsley snapped him up in 1999.
Barker spent three seasons at Oakwell, before Cardiff paid £600,000 for his services in 2002.
He went on to make 150-plus appearances for the Bluebirds, before falling out of favour under current Cardiff boss Dave Jones.

DANIEL NARDIELLO
QPR clinched the free transfer signing of Danny Nardiello in the summer of 2007.
The former Manchester United ace agreed a two year deal in W12, despite late interest from Championship rivals Norwich City.
Nardiello, who scored seven goals in his final nine appearances for Barnsley last season, turned down an improved deal with the Tykes to link up with the R's.
A product of the Youth Academy at Wolverhampton Wanderers, Nardiello joined English giants Manchester United in October 1999.
The Coventry-born midfielder, whose father Donato was a Welsh international in the late 1970's, made his Red Devils debut in November 2001, against Arsenal.
Despite showing promise in United's second string, Nardiello failed to make the breakthrough to first team level at Old Trafford and was eventually farmed out on loan to Barnsley in season 2003/04, where he scored seven goals in just 16 appearances.
After impressing the Tykes faithful with his goalscoring prowess and endeavour, Nardiello returned to Oakwell on a season long loan for the 2004/05 campaign.
Unfortunately, injuries restricted him to just 30 games in all competitions, during which period he scored a further seven goals.
Nevertheless, after his release from Old Trafford, Barnsley swooped to secure the strikers' services and he went on to score an impressive 34 goals in 108 appearances.
Nardiello made his full Welsh debut in May 2007, entering the fray as a second half substitute for John Toshack's men, in their international friendly draw with New Zealand. Barnsley
