Thirty-seven Years ago:January 2nd 1971, FA Cup Third Round at Loftus Road QPR 1 Swindon 2 (Marsh)
The Swindon defeat led to the departure of QPR Manager Les Allen, after two years as QPR manager. By the time QPR played Luton the following Saturday, Allen was gone. Allen's replacement - initially as caretaker, and then as permanent manager, was Gordon Jago, who of course played a massive part in building QPR's "Championship" Team.
