QPR OFFICIAL SITE EXCLUSIVE: AINSWORTH APPOINTED CLUB CAPTAIN
Luigi De Canio has appointed Gareth Ainsworth as QPR Club Captain, following Adam Bolder's loan move to Sheffield Wednesday.
Ainsworth will be responsible for helping with off the field matters, while Martin Rowlands will continue in his role as captain on the pitch.
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk from the R's Training Camp in Portugal, Ainsworth said: "I'm very honoured.
"I've skippered the Club on the pitch and now I'm doing it off it.
"Luigi pulled me and Rowly to one side after Bolds went to Sheffield Wednesday and we're delighted.
"We will work on it together and report back to the Manager with any issues that might arise. He wants us both to be leaders out there and I'm absolutely honoured." QPR
