BBC - QPR limit season ticket numbers
Queens Park Rangers will cap the number of season ticket sales for the first time in the club's history.
The limit means there are only a few hundred season tickets left before the new campaign gets underway.
Deputy managing director Ali Russell told BBC London 94.9: "We've decided to cap it at 10,000.
"We've had fantastic demand for season-tickets, there's a huge feel good factor at QPR at the moment and we're absolutely delighted with that."
Russell added: "I think we're very conscious that people are starting to talk about a recession, not everyone can afford a season-ticket so we certainly want to have tickets available for those people that potentially can't afford a season-ticket."
But despite the potentially challenging financial times there has been a phenomenal demand that has seen thousands of fans secure their seats for the club's quest to return to the Premier League.
There is no doubt that the increase in ticket sales has been helped by the ongoing changes at the club.
The upcoming season is the first full season since Flavio Briatore, Bernie Ecclestone and the Mittal Family completed their takeover of the Club.
And the summer break has seen the arrival of a new manager, Iain Dowie, along with five new signings.
"I think it's the right thing to do. We're trying to grow the fan base and really grow the club from the really strong base that we've got., added Russell.
"We're actually starting to connect with new fans, which is great and we've got prices for every type of fan." BBC

Radek Cerny is the only injury doubt, as Rangers begin their pre-season campaign with a trip to Broadhall Way on Saturday.
The former Spurs stopper has a slight hamstring niggle and is not expected to be risked against Stevenage Borough.
"Radek's got a slight knock," Iain Dowie told www.qpr.co.uk.
"It's unlikely we'll risk him, but the rest of the lads are flying."
The R's four other summer signings are likely to feature though, and Dowie is excited about the prospect of seeing his three foreigners in action.
He said: "Ledesma and Di Carmine have done really well and I'm really excited about seeing them in action.
"Alberti missed a few days training at Bath with a slight knock, but again, he's settled in fantastically well."
Dowie isn't expecting a walk in the park against Boro' though and genuinely believes they will provide a stern test for the new-look R's.
"Graham Westley (Stevenage Manager) is very knowledgeable at Conference level and knows how to get the very best out of his players, so we're expecting a tough test," he said.

"Stevenage are one of the bigger Club's in the Conference and are all geared up to be playing at a higher level. They beat Gillingham earlier this week so it's not going to be easy.

"I think they're hoping for a decent crowd, so we're really looking forward to getting our pre-season campaign underway."

Dowie added: "It's a good first test for us and it's come at the right time.
"The players are in a good physical condition and although we'll mix it about a bit in terms of rotating the players, it's a game we want to win.
"Victories breed confidence and for that reason alone, it will be nice to get off to a positive, winning start.
"On the other hand, I've been involved in pre-season campaigns where we've not won a game and then you suddenly start the season with a few victories - that's football sometimes.
"We'll look to be attractive going forward and resolute at the back and I'm relishing leading QPR for the first time."
Dowie believes the pre-season training camp in Bath was a 'worthwhile trip' and praised the players for their efforts over the five days.
"We got the lads up at seven every day to keep them on their toes, but to be fair to them, they worked really hard and we're really pleased with their fitness levels as we embark on the pre-season fixtures," he said.
"The intensity of the sessions was great - the lads were flying into tackles and really putting themselves about." QPR

Eastwood Town have signed Anton Foster from UniBond Premier Division rivals Buxton - hot on the heels of signing former Mansfield Town striker Ian Holmes.
A member of England's Non- League First 11, Foster started his career as a trainee at Queens Park Rangers.
Eastwood manager Paul Cox said: "I have known Anton since his days at Ilkeston Town when Jon Ramshaw and myself ran the academy at Hucknall.
"The progress he has made since then has been fantastic and I think it is fair to say that he was probably rated as the best central midfielder in the UniBond Premier last season.
"When the chairman asked us to write down our top ten targets in the summer, we had to put Foster down, but I never expected to get him as I knew he had signed a long-term contract at Buxton.
