QPR Day: Official Launch of Strip/Gulf Air Sponsor Day...Impact of Sponsorship Report

-
Yesterday, QPR's new strip (with sponsor) was leaked onto the internet. Supposedly today, the club are having its official launch of the new strip and announcement that Gulf Air would be the sponsors.
Very strong messageboard rumours/reports from early last week that Gulf Air would be the new sponsors were now "confirmed" by the leaked shirts.

UPDATE 10:00 AM (GMT): Additional Photos: As noted on the messageboards: Additional photos of the new shirt

UPDATE: KippReport -"Gulf Air signs sponsorship deal with sixth best football club in London"
Queens Park Rangers to carry Gulf Air branding on their shirts from next season. With Bernie Ecclestone, Flavio Briatore and Lakshmi Mittal involved the club could be destined for big things. Super-hoops
In the never-ending jousting among Gulf airlines, it falls some way short of Emirates but certainly tops Qatar Airways. Gulf Air is to be named as shirt sponsor of Queens Park Rangers, the sixth best football team in London.
It doesn't quite match Emirates $200m deal to sponsor Arsenal (including 15-year naming rights on the stadium), but it certainly looks more impressive Qatar Airways buying an ad on the roof of Brentford FC's Griffin Park ground (the ad could be glimpsed as planes come in to land at nearby Heathrow).
Gulf Daily News says the QPR deal will be announced later today. QPR play in the second tier of English football and draw crowds of up to 18,000.
Gulf Air might be getting in at an opportune moment. The club could be on the way up: in August 2007 it was bought by F1 tycoons, Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore, who sold a 20% stake to the family of steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal in December of that year.... Kipp Report
