QPR Official Site - EXCLUSIVE: BUZ BACK IN TRAINING
Akos Buzsaky has resumed full training and could be in line to make his comeback in Tuesday's Reserve fixture against Charlton Athletic at Loftus Road.
The Magical Magyar underwent surgery on his left ankle at the start of June, but has responded well to recent treatment and returned to First Team training earlier this week.
Head Physio Paul Hunter told www.qpr.co.uk: "Akos is back training and that's a massive boost for everyone.
"We're mindful that he's not had a full pre-season, and as a result, he's doing some extra fitness sessions with John Harbin (Performance Manager).
"All things being equal though, he should be in contention to make the squad for our home fixture against Southampton in mid-September."
Broken leg victim Rowan Vine is also progressing nicely, with Hunter confident the striker will resume full training in the next couple of weeks.
"Rowan's doing really well," he said.
"He's really stepped up his fitness levels in recent weeks and the work he's doing with John is working wonders.
"He's already joining in with the First Team warm-up sessions and it shouldn't be too long before he's involved in the technical sessions too."
Hunter added: "Realistically, we're looking at Rowan returning to the squad in the coming weeks."
Unfortunately, the news isn't quite so positive where Fitz Hall is concerned.
The former Wigan defender limped out of Saturday's 2-0 victory against Doncaster Rovers with a groin injury, and is set to miss this weekend's trip to Ashton Gate - home of Bristol City.
"Fitz sustained an abductor injury in his left groin," said Hunter.
"It's a different injury to the one that kept him sidelined last season, but once again, we'll have to treat it carefully.
"There's never a good time to get injured, but with the international break imminent, the two-week period between fixtures will almost certainly mean he misses far fewer matches than he might have at another stage in the season." QPR
