Daily Mail - QPR boss Dowie rubbishes rumours of a rift with chairman Briatore
Iain Dowie has refuted suggestions of a bust-up with Flavio Briatore and blasted the "mischievous individuals" who are trying to undermine his regime at Queens Park Rangers.
It had been reported the boss was on the verge of leaving after a row with the chairman but Dowie said: 'This rumour is complete rubbish. There was never any argument. If certain mischievous individuals want to make things up about me, then that's up to them.
'I lost my mother [to cancer] not long ago and that's the sort of thing I think about. In contrast, how can mindless talk about football and my career bother me?'
