Unfriendly Welcome Back for Akos Buzsaky
Plymouth Herald- Ex-Argyle star abused at game
POLICE are appealing for information after a former Plymouth Argyle star was targeted by 'fans' while cheering on the Greens from the stands.
Former fans' favourite Akos Buzsaky was escorted from The Madejski Stadium during Argyle's clash with Reading on Saturday after around a dozen people began insulting him, using bad language and threatening behaviour.
The former Pilgrims playmaker had travelled from London to Reading to sit among the 2,000 Argyle fans and support his former team.
But sources close to the 26-year-old claim the Hungary international will not be attending any future matches after the "nasty and sad" incident.
Buzsaky, who moved to Queens Park Rangers in January in a controversial £500,000 transfer, is still held in high regard by the majority of Argyle fans, who are dismayed by behaviour of those involved. It appears Buzsaky sat with the Green Army in the first half – happily chatting, signing autographs and posing for photographs.
during half-time the atmosphere turned sour on the concourse underneath the stand, with around a dozen men confronting him near food outlets.
Trouble appeared to spill over into the second half when one man is alleged to have thrown a water bottle at the player, who was sitting near small children.
Reading Football Club confirmed Buzsaky was then escorted from the ground "to ensure his safety".
Officers from Devon and Cornwall Constabulary's Football Intelligence Unit are now appealing for witnesses to the incident.

RAY JONES COMMEMORATION - QPR Official Site - READ ALL ABOUT RAY
Saturday's 'Hoops' is a must-read for R's fans, as the Club pays tribute to Ray Jones.
Monday marks the one year anniversary of Jones' untimely death and as such, the Club will be remembering him when we play host to Doncaster Rovers this weekend.
Almost a year on from the tragic death of the teenage starlet, the Club will be celebrating the life of the popular front-man with an A4 anniversary souvenir programme, in which 50p from each sale goes to the 'Eastside Young Leaders Academy' -a charity chosen by Ray's mother, Larraine.
All remaining profits from programme sales on the day will go towards the R's Football In The Community projects.
The commemorative programme - which will be on sale in and around the ground for £5 - is A4 in size and features 84 pages.
Our ever-popular 'Step Back In Time' history section will be dedicated in its entirety to Ray.
The editorial covers all of Ray's champagne moments, including that memorable evening against Cardiff City at Ninian Park in November 2006.
Player Coach Gareth Ainsworth also pays his own glowing tribute to Jones, while Club Captain Martin Rowlands also looks back at his former team-mate's career in his exclusive column.
Our commemorative issue also incorporates all our usual matchday programme features, including Iain Dowie's exclusive thoughts on the season so far, as well as an in-depth look at our visitors, Doncaster Rovers.
As well as the souvenir programme, the new Giant Screen in W12 will be running a series of tributes from 2.00pm, as we remember the gentle giant who graced Loftus Road.
