Terry Venables's QPR Return?...Davide Succi's Brace

-
Update: And the Mirror Terry Venables story picked up by Sky Sports - "Briatore Keen on Venables"

Sunday Mirror/Steve Stammers - Terry Venables set to make return to Queens Park Rangers
Terry Venables is in line for a sensational return to football with Queens Park Rangers.
Venables has been out of the game for 10 months after losing his job as the assistant to Steve McClaren when the England manager was sacked.
But Rangers co-owner Flavio Briatore makes no secret of his admiration for Venables.
While Briatore acknowledges that he is happy with the present manager Iain Dowie, he says of Venables: "I like the guy. I rate him 100 per cent.
"He has got a lot of experience. He knows about international football.
"He is the kind of guy we need when we are bigger. He is a bit big for us now.

"Maybe when we make the next step. I like the management team we have at the moment."
Under the co-ownership of Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone, Rangers have become one of wealthiest clubs in the country.
Current boss Iain Dowie has been entrusted with the task of guiding the club to the top flight but there might well be a role for Venables to play as a director of football.
And if Rangers fail to make an impact in the Championship, Briatore and his board may opt to accelerate the approach for Venables and use his expertise to help the club into the Premier League.
Venables is guaranteed a warm reception from the Rangers fans. He became an iconic figure at Loftus Road during his spells at the club as a player between 1969 and 1974 and then as a manager between 1980 and 1984.
Venables left Rangers after guiding them to a fifth place finish in the old First Division to take over at Barcelona. Mirror

Davide Succi, who is reportedly a target for English club Queens Park Rangers, scored a double he is unlikely to forget to fire Ravenna to a 2-1 win over Palermo in the upset of the night. Edison Cavani scored a consolati on for the Sicilians five minutes from time to give the scoreline a shade of respectability. Teamtalk
