Buzsaky Defends and Praises Dowie

- IAIN DOWIE and Jose Mourinho could be brothers — apart from the fact one has swarthy looks, a sultry accent, jet-set lifestyle and a smart grey coat.
- But match-winning midfielder Akos Buzsaky insists that, while Rangers’ boss Dowie’s style may differ, he is right up there with The Special One.
- Buzsaky played under Mourinho for Porto before landing up at Loftus Road where he is proving a class act and a shrewd judge of character.
- And under-pressure Dowie may need his Hungarian-made AK-47 to survive turbulent times at Rangers.
- For despite leading the club into the top six of the Championship, the top brass at QPR seem hell bent on sacking him for a ‘sexier’ name.
- Buzsaky — the Budapest Bullet — lived up to his nickname with a stunning 60th-minute goal that finally saw off rock-bottom Forest.
- Buzsaky, 26, said: “Each manager has different strengths and ideas.
“But Jose Mourinho and Iain Dowie have some similarities because Iain defends us all the time. Even if we have a bad game he sticks up for us.
“That is exactly what Jose does for his players. And that is important because it means the dressing room is a secure area where we know we are all fighting for each other.
“Iain is as good at managing his players as Jose.”
Forest’s superb goal four minutes from time deserved to be more than just a consolation as sub Lewis McGugan struck a free-kick Becks would have been proud of.
-Buzsaky’s 20-yard strike to make it 2-0 had already wrapped up a much-needed return to winning ways for Rangers, adding to Colombian Angelo Balanta’s 48th-minute goal.
- Forest boss Colin Calderwood said: “The belief in our group hasn’t altered and the fans can see beyond results. They see how hard we are working.” The Sun
