-TEAMTALK - Campaign comes to a close for Rs duo
QPR duo Matthew Rose and Sammy Youssouf are out for the rest of the season due to injury
Centre-back Rose, 29, requires an operation on an ankle knock he sustained in the 1-1 draw at Sheffield Wednesday on March 11, and Youssouf has a knee problem.
Youssouf, a Danish striker on loan at Loftus Road until the end of the campaign, is now unlikely to earn a longer-term deal with the Rs - but caretaker manager Gary Waddock insists Rose still has a future at the club.
"Matthew is devastated and so are we - but he has still one year left on his contract," Waddock said. "When he is fit and available, he is a quality player - and we need him right for next season."
Waddock was tipped to sign a two-year deal last week that would have made him Rangers' permanent manager - but he has still to do so, and John Gregory was linked with the post this week.
"You would have to ask [chairman] Gianni Paladini about my situation," Waddock added. "I'm happy, but I want the managerial situation resolved, so the club can plan for the future and move forward."

Queens Park Rangers caretaker-manager Gary Waddock is ready to hand the youngsters their chance in the run-in after a couple of disappointing home defeats.
Rangers have struggled in recent weeks and the season is in danger of petering out but Waddock is ready to revitalise the team by giving youngsters their chance.
Shabazz Baidoo, Stefan Bailley and Scott Donnelly have already had their chance and are set for extended runs in the side, whil Waddock has confirmed that a couple more players in the Rangers Academy are ready to make the step up.
'There will be one or two changes this weekend and there will be changes for the remainder of the season,' Waddock exclusively told clubcall. 'I want to give first-team experience to the youngster players. All three will be involved [Baidoo, Bailey, Donnelly]. Sean Thomas has been on the bench and will be involved. Andrew Howell will be introduced as he has done really well at youth and reserve team level.
'That is five young players who will get their experience from not until the end of the season and that will be valuable for them.'
After back-to-back defeats against Stoke and Crewe Waddock is demanded a reaction from his side ahead of the trip to Burnley on Saturday
'We have good a chance to bounce back. Two home defeats wasn’t pleasing at all but we go up to Burnley to try and put things right,' Waddock added.

Queens Park Rangers caretaker-manager Gary Waddock has admitted the club will have to wait until the summer before teenage striker Shabazz Baidoo makes a decision on his future.
Rangers have already tied up the future of Stefan Bailey and Scott Donnelly on two-year professional deals but Baidoo has yet to sign up.
The 18-year-old's contract expires in the summer and the worry is that the player could leave the club, but Waddock remains hopeful of keeping the player at Loftus Road.
"He has been offered two deal but both have been turned down," Waddock exclusively told clubcall.
"As everyone is aware I want him to sign and commit his future to the club. I think at present his agent has said he will leave it until the summer so Shabazz can concentrate on his football," Waddock added.
"I don’t know what their thoughts are, I want him to stay but he has got every right to leave it until the summer and make a decision then."
