" Manager Terry Brown announced the first of the close season movements on Friday evening with the news that five players have departed the Recreation Ground.
The five discussed were captain Steve Watson, Lewis Hamilton, Hassan Sulaiman, Tobi Jinadu and Dan Weait. Talking to www.theshots.co.uk ...
" Lewis Hamilton and Hassan Sulaiman the boss continued, "Both are young lads who have shared the right back spot for a large proportion of the season. They are really keen and both have ability. However I am going on the basis that we need to change our defensive approach for next season."
"We conceded 74 goals last season and we need a solid unit. That means that we have to change the way we play and that is at an expense to the young boys who are quick and have pace but I need a "steady eddie" sort of right back who will be more defence orientated. There is keen interest in both boys and I don't foresee them having any problems getting a contract elsewhere".
Hassan made 29 appearance since his arrival from Wigan Athletic in the summer whilst Lewis Hamlton featured on 32 occasions after arriving from QPR. http://www.theshots.co.uk/newspage.ink?nid=27368&newstype=n&matchid=
