Linfield's Peter Thompson on His Future

-
BBC - Thompson happy to stay with Blues

Linfield's striker Peter Thompson has said he would be happy to stay with the all-conquering Blues despite renewed interest from cross-channel clubs.
Thompson hit both Linfield goals as they beat Glentoran in the Nationwide Irish Cup final on Saturday.
That has fuelled speculation that Thompson, Linfield's only full-time professional, could soon be moving.
"I am happy to stay at Linfield and am already looking forward to pre-season training," said Thompson.
"I recently signed a three-year contract and any future move would have to be right for the club as well as me.
"I would like to play at as high a level as possible."

Linfield manager David Jeffrey said the club would not stand in Thompson's way if the right move came along.
"We have always kept him informed when clubs have made approaches," said Jeffrey.
"Peter knew every time there was an offer from Gretna and about the interest from Queen's Park Rangers. They were the only clubs which made any approach."
