Blackpool want on loan defender, Ian Evatt on a permanent basis:
Blackpool Clubcall
Blackpool boss Simon Grayson says he is keen to turn QPR defender Ian Evatt's loan move into a permanent switch, but has been unable to make any progress.
The 24-year-old centre-back has made 16 appearances for the Seasiders since joining them on loan, and appears keen to stay at Bloomfield Road for as long as possible.
Rangers boss John Gregory has indicated that a permanent deal could be on the cards if Blackpool wish to make an offer, but Grayson admits he is finding it difficult to commence such negotiations:
"I've tried to get hold of John for the last ten days, but he hasn't returned any of my calls. "If he has said a permanent deal could be on, I'd like to follow that up, but he's a tough man to get hold of at the moment.
"I worked under him at Aston Villa and he answered his phone quite regularly then, but at the moment I'm finding it hard to get hold of him."

"...... future of Ian Evatt .... Gregory allowed Blackpool to include Evatt for last Saturday's FA Cup victory at Huddersfield and says the onus is on the Seasiders to decide whether the central defender returns to QPR or not....
"I've not crossed that bridge at the moment," Gregory added. "It'll be determined by what Blackpool want to do. Ian's doing very well for them at the moment and I gave them permission to use him in the FA Cup. "I'm looking at it on a monthly basis - if Blackpool decide to send him back, Ian can come and join up with our squad. Whether or not he takes part with the first team remains to be seen. "If they were to come and offer him a long-term contract, that's something I'd talk over with Ian because it'd have to be beneficial to himself and QPR. So we'll wait and see what happens."
