Fans favourite Marc Bircham is fit to travel, but the R's squad is severely decimated for the trip to the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, gaffer John Gregory revealed that the R's will travel to Stoke with the bare minimum: "We're down to the bare bones.
"It's not an ideal situation, but until we get players back from injury and suspension and the transfer window re-opens in January, we've just got to get on with it.''
Zesh Rehman and Ray Jones both miss the trip to the Potteries due to suspension, while Gareth Ainsworth (ankle), Pat Kanyuka (hamstring), Dominic Shimmin (hamstring) and Steve Lomas (knee) are all still sidelined.
"The back four has pretty much picked itself week in, week out, regardless of how they've been performing, because it's all I've got,'' said Gregory.
"There's no competition for places in that department, but obviously I'm going to have to shuffle the pack on Saturday with Zesh suspended.''
Bircham's comeback from a niggling hamstring problem is a timely boost for Gregory, who has seen his side slip to three defeats on the spin in the last fortnight.
But the R's will head to the Britannia Stadium in good spirits, at a stadium where they've registered nine points out of nine from their last three visits.
Gregory added: "We beat the league leaders Cardiff when weren't expected to get anything, so who knows what will happen at Stoke.''
