John Gregory's First Hundred Days

-
QPR Manager, John Gregory marks his First Hundred Days as QPR Manager.
His appointment was announced September 20 (initially with Gary Waddock announced as Assistant Manager)Gregory, along with his assistants Richard Hill and Joe Dunbar. After an initial surge of optimism and a another burst in November with dreams of surging into the playoffs, now all QPR fans realize just staying up will be a victory. Gregory Appointed -

When Gregory took over, September 20 to replace Waddock, QPR had just been knocked out of the "League" Cup by Port Vale and had 6 points from their first 8 games (1 win, 3 draws, 4 defeats). In Gregory's first 17 league games, QPR have taken 23 points: 6 Wins, 3 draws, 8 defeats.

Inheriting an extremely bloated squad and a closed transfer period, the only transfers thus far have been a couple of players in on loan: Jimmy Smith and Michael Mancienne player, and four players out (or remainining) out on loan: Moore, Evatt, Doherty and Munday. Adam Czerkas, signed in the summer on a year loan has been released, There has been transfer rumours about sales most notably Lee Cook, players being released and possible signings. The first reported January signing (not officially announced) is Finnish defender, Sampsa Timoska.

The concensus among QPR fans seems to be that whatever our problems on and off the field; and whoever is to blame for the situation we are in now: Waddock, Holloway or Paladini (or others), with a number of players signed over the past year who are not good enough for QPR, at least with the experienced Gregory as manager we have more of a chance than we did under Waddock (who everyone wishes well).
