JANUARY 2nd, 2006 - QPR OFFICIAL SITE BOARD STATEMENT
Following the weekend's media reports, the Board of Directors have issued a statement.
Numerous stories alleged that QPR were on the brink of selling some of their most valuable players, most notably Dan Shittu, but the Board would like to state there is no such truth in the rumours.
The statement reads:
"The board unanimously condemns recent allegations from some badly informed newspapers with regards to the sale of some of our players for ridiculous amounts of money and also the replacement of our manager.
"We would like to clarify that there is absolutely no need to sell players in order to settle monies due to the Inland Revenue as we are fully up to date with our repayments.
"Furthermore, stories claiming that Jim Smith is to become the Director of Football at Loftus Road are completely unfounded."QPR

Sammy Youssouf Joins QPR Rangers have completed the signing of 29 year old Danish forward Sammy Youssouf on a 6 month contract. The striker was invited over to the clubs Harlington training ground and impressed manager Ian Holloway.
"We played him in a match situation and he really impressed me. We have signed him to the end of the season so we can have a good look at him."
"It's very difficult to bring in players with the current rules and even if you want to bring in a loan you often have to pay loan fees."
After brining in two defenders in the transfer window Holloway has spent the last few weeks trying to complete a deal for a forward.
"Kevin Gallen has been missing and Marc Nygaard has been in and out of the side. I really want to work with Marc for a pre-season and get him fully fit becuase I think he is a great striker and will really do some damage in the Championship."
"We have been asking Shabazz Baidoo to step up and he has done really well and we are now talking to him about signing a professional contract."
With the transfer window closing next week, Holloway may not of finished his shopping just yet.
"I've been on the trail of one striker for quite some time and hopefully we will be able to sign him before the window closes." - Youssuf
