"Snippets": Dennis Bailey's Old Trafford Hat-Trick...Bignot Playing...Fans' "Rebuild QPR" - Meeting Minutes

The Guardian - KNOWLEDGE: BAILEY'S HAT TRICK AT OLD TRAFFORD
"How many opposition players have scored hat-tricks at Old Trafford? And who were they?" asked Marc Beauge, back in the day.
So far the roll of honour stands at four. Stephen Martin is one of many who remembers Dennis Bailey's brilliant hat-trick during QPR's 4-1 New Year's Day demolition of United in 1992. (Dennis, incidentally, finally retired last month at the age of 40, after finishing his career with Stratford Town in the Midland Alliance.....) Guardian

Marcus Bignot insists he is happy to play as a left wing-back as QPR search for a winning formula.
Boss John Gregory opted for a 3-5-2 formation in last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Stoke, with Bignot on the extreme left of the five-man midfield.
Gregory could stick with the system for this weekend's home clash with Wolves, and Bignot said: "I played at left-wing back for Ian Holloway at Bristol Rovers in the 2000-01 season, and it is something I am accustomed to.
"I don't know if we will continue to use 3-5-2 on Saturday but I am sure we will use it again this season, because it worked quite well at Stoke." Sporting Life

Sky Sports Marcus Bignot is hoping to be offered a new deal by Queens Park Rangers.
The defender appeared to have no long-term future at Loftus Road when former QPR boss Gary Waddock placed him on the transfer list in the summer.
John Gregory wasted little time in taking him off the transfer list when he was appointed manager in September, and Bignot has been a regular in the side since.
And although he is out of contract at the end of the season, Bignot is looking to help QPR stave off relegation and secure a new deal in the process.
"I understand why I have not been approached. We are in a relegation battle and the gaffer will not want to get embroiled in contract negotiations," he said.
"I am 100 per cent focused on playing for QPR. Even when I was put on the list I did not want to leave because this is the only club I want to play for.
"The biggest reward for me this season would be for QPR to stay in the Championship and for me to earn a new deal - and the two go hand in hand." SkySports
