QPR Official Site - Evatt Departs
QPR have parted company with defender Ian Evatt by mutual consent.
The 25 year-old - who has spent the last five months with League One outfit Blackpool - joined QPR from Chesterfield on a three year deal in the summer of 2005.
The no-nonsense defender put pen to paper in Majorca, after Bill Power and Gianni Paladini flew out to meet up with their man.
An undisclosed fee was agreed with the Spireites and Evatt signed a contract with the R's until 2008.
However, after falling out of favour with former boss Ian Holloway, Evatt fell down the pecking order in W12 and after being placed on the transfer list by Holloway's replacement, Gary Waddock, he eventually joined Blackpool on loan.QPR
