SEAN THOMAS - This is BristolGARY'S AFTER A COUPLE OF GEMS January 2007 Bristol City boss Gary Johnson.....The Robins' chief will sign 20-year-old Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Sean Thomas on loan for the rest of the season as cover for Adriano Basso and Chris Weale...- Bristol
The Times - January 1:“The transfer window could be beneficial for us, but we are already paying 35 professionals — our squad must be bigger than Inter Milan’s,” John Gregory, the manager, said. Rumours persist that Lee Cook, the winger, and Ray Jones, the 18-year-old striker, could leave in the next month.
“Jones is a YTS boy,” Gregory said. “We’ve offered him three contracts and they have all been turned down by his agent.” - The Times
LEE COOK & RAY JONES Skysports -John Gregory insists Ray Jones and Lee Cook will only leave Loftus Road in the transfer window, if Queens Park Rangers are offered 'serious money'.
Jones' future is a source of debate after the teenage striker rejected multiple offers of a new contract.
Fulham have already failed with a £50,000 bid for Jones, whose present deal expires at the end of the season.
Other Premiership clubs have been linked with the youngster, while winger Cook has also attracted interest from the top flight.
But QPR boss Gregory is adamant the club will not be forced into selling the duo in January, unless big bids are received.
"There's been a lot of speculation about Cook and Jones," said Gregory.
"But we won't be parting with them unless someone comes in and offers us serious money.
"Jones is out of contract in the summer and one or two clubs are already chasing him, so we aren't exactly on the front foot with him at the moment.
"The only good thing if a couple of the players go is we might have a bit of money to spend. We need to bring in new players Skysports

"...It was a seventh defeat in eight games for struggling Rangers....
More worryingly for John Gregory's side is that they barely mustered a menacing shot on target and the manager will struggle to hold on to £3m-rated winger Lee Cook and striker Ray Jones, valued at £1m, in the transfer window.
Gregory, who ironically once signed Dublin for £5.75m when manager at Aston Villa, admitted: "There's been a lot of speculation about Cook and Jones. But we won't be parting with them unless someone comes in and offers us serious money.

Grayson has not revealed whther he is trying to negotiate a permanent transfer or simply a loan extension, but he admits some progress has been made:
"Yes, I've spoken to John Gregory and Ian, and we are trying to get things done.
"When we get the Chesterfield game out of the way, we'll try to crack on, and as soon as we make significant progress we'll let everybody know." Clubcall
