Inigo Idiakez has today (Thursday) agreed a deal to extend his loan spell with the R's until the end of the season.
The Spaniard - who has made four appearances, scoring one goal, since joining the R's on loan from Southampton - is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, but is expected to play some part in the R's Easter weekend double-header.
Gaffer John Gregory believes Idiakez's experience will play a crucial role in the run-in, commenting: "I'm delighted we've been able to secure his services until the end of the season.
"He's made a real difference since he arrived here and although his hamstring injury has ruled him out of the last couple of fixtures, he'll have a huge role to play over the next four weeks.''
The Club received clearance from the Football League just after 5.30pm tonight, although Saints have the option to recall the player at 24 hours notice. QPR Official Site

Saints midfielder Inigo Idiakez has had his loan at QPR extended until the end of the season.
The Spanish midfielder has already scored one goal for the relegation battlers who were keen to keep him for the rest of the campaign.
He helped them to a shock win over Southampton's promotion rivals Preston in midweek, lifting the West London club clear of the drop zone.
With Danny Guthrie coming in from Liverpool, Idiakez has been unable to reclaim his place in the Southampton side ahead of a string of in-form midfielders.
He has been allowed to remain out on loan to regain match fitness but the deal expires on May 6 so he would be available if needed for Saints' play-off campaign - Southampton
