Ex-QPR News: Paul Bruce joins Thurrock...Tony Roberts still not finalized at Dagenham

PAOLO VERNAZZA has left Dagenham & Redbridge after failing to agree personal terms with manager John Still over a new contract....Vernazza's departure follows those of Tim Cole and Paul Bruce and Still has spent the last few weeks compensating for their exits by securing the services of players who have played in the Football League.
Magnus Okuonghae, who was added to the Daggers squad from Crawley Town, made 23 league appearances for Rushden & Diamonds while Richard Graham, the Barnet winger, and Shane Huke, a midfielder who was at Peterborough last season, also boast league experience. The pair have joined Daggers according to Still, despite there being no official confirmation of the two players putting pen to paper on two-year contracts on the club's website.

Still is on holiday in Cyprus until the end of the month but it is understood that negotiations with the player, and with the insurance company who are owed a reported £150,000 that was paid out to goalkeeper Tony Roberts upon his retirement from league football in 1998, will continue in the manager's absence.
The man who led Daggers to their first ever Conference title and an unprecedented place in the Football League however, suggested that for the time being he has not begun formulating aims for next season's assault on League Two.

Thurrock FC -Bruce Joins Fleet
Thurrock manager, Hakan Hayrettin has made his third major capture of the close season bringing in Paul Bruce from Dagenham and Redbridge.
Paul started his career at QPR where he played nearly 40 games for the first team before moving to Dagenham in 2002 helping them to win the Conference title last season. He is 28 years old and can operate at left back as well as his preferred side midfield position.

Conference News - Thurrock swoop for Bruce
Blue Square South club Thurrock have raided Dagenham & Redbridge for a second time to capture the services of midfielder Paul Bruce.
The Daggers released 29-year-old Bruce at the end of the season as he wasn't keen on making the step-up to full-time football.
"He is a quality player and I am very pleased that he chose to come here," manager Hakan Hayrettin told the Thurrock Gazette.
"He could have had his pick from a number of clubs as he is a top grade Conference player and it is a tribute to Thurrock that he has elected to join us. I am absolutely delighted."
Bruce started his career as a trainee with QPR and made 49 appearances for the first-team after coming through their youth system.
He had a short loan spell with Cambridge United before signing for Dagenham on a free transfer in the summer of 2002.
London-born Bruce links up with former teammate and captain Tim Cole, who signed for Thurrock on a two-year deal last month. News
