Jones Offer Rejected
The U's six figure offer for Ray Jones has been knocked back by QPR.
A bid of £200,000 was made to the West London club for the striker who scored the winning goal against the U's at Loftus Road last season but it was not enough to prise Jones away from Rangers.
This may not be the end of the matter though, as the U's Board are now considering going back to QPR with an increased bid for the highly rated centre forward.
He has also scored one goal in three cup games for Rangers since he signed as a professional in July 2005, after coming though the youth system at Loftus Road.
