Verdict - FA's Punishment of QPR For "China Brawl"

At a Disciplinary Commission hearing today, Queens Park Rangers FC were fined £40,000 for their involvement in a brawl with the Chinese U22 team on 9 February, £20,000 of which is suspended until 31 May 2008. It can be reactivated in full or in part in the event of a proved similar offence.
The club admitted a charge of failing to ensure that its players and/or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and refrained from violent and/or threatening and/or provocative behaviour.
A charge of violent conduct against assistant coach Richard Hill was found proved. He has been suspended from all football and football management until 30 September 2007. He has 14 days to appeal. FA

At a Disciplinary Commission hearing today (Friday), Queens Park Rangers FC were fined £40,000 for their involvement in a brawl with the Chinese Olympic team on February 9th, £20,000 of which is suspended until May 31st 2008. It can be reactivated in full or in part in the event of a proved similar offence.

The Club admitted a charge of failing to ensure that its players and / or officials conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and refrained from violent and / or threatening and / or provocative behaviour.
