QPR Official Statement - EXCLUSIVE: STARLET RETURNS
Michael Mancienne ia about to re-join QPR on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
The 19 year-old defender, who spent seven successful months in W12 last season, returned to Harlington this week and is now gearing himself up for another campaign with the R's.
The formalities of the deal have already been agreed and Mancienne will join QPR on August 1st.
Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, gaffer John Gregory revealed his delight at the move, commenting: "We're extremely pleased that we have the opportunity of having Michael Mancienne in our squad for the whole of next season.
"He had an outstanding period with us last season and I would like to pay a special debt of gratitude to Chelsea Football Club for allowing Michael to continue his footballing education with us.
"If he makes the progress this season as he did last season, we can expect even greater things from him.''
Mancienne impressed at right back and centre half for Rangers last season, with his performances deservedly earning him the runners-up award in the Supporters' Young Player of the Year category at the Club's end of season showcase.
Such was his impact, the England Under-19 international was also shortlisted for both the Player's Player and the Supporter's Player of the Year awards.
Mancienne, who made 30 appearances in all competitions for the R's last season, will wear squad number 6. QPR
