QPR Official Site - BALANTA JOINS WYCOMBE ON LOAN
- Angelo Balanta has joined League Two side Wycombe Wanderers on a two month loan deal.
- The 18 year-old striker will remain with the Chairboys until January 14th 2009.
- Caretaker Manager, Gareth Ainsworth, told www.qpr.co.uk: "This move will be a valuable part of Angelo's development as a professional footballer.
- "Some of the best players in the current England squad, including David Beckham and Rio Ferdinand, were loaned out to lower League sides in the early part of their careers and the positives far out-weigh the negatives.
"It will be greatly beneficial for him to play for a Wycombe side currently flying high at the top of League Two."
Under the terms of the deal, Balanta - who will not be allowed to feature in the FA Cup - can be recalled after 28 days, at 24 hours notice."QPR

STEFFAN MOORE UPDATE - The Conference Guide - Moore extends Harriers stay
Striker Stefan Moore has this afternoon signed a new deal to keep him with Kidderminster Harriers for another month.
The former Aston Villa front man joined Harriers a little over a month ago, making an instant impact in the 3-1 home league win over Ebbsfleet United.
25 year-old Moore, who has also featured for the likes of QPR and Walsall, has started twice for Harriers in his initial spell, making a further four appearances from the bench.
Speaking to harriers.co.uk today, Assistant Manager Neil Howarth was delighted to have kept Moore on board for a second month.
"Stefan is a quality player and he's someone who really knows the game," he said.
"He's a great option for us to have and to have him on the bench shows how strong we are and just how well Matthew Barnes-Homer and Justin Richards are doing."
Moore still awaits his first goal in Harriers colours, but this is of no issue for Howarth, who added: "He should have had his first goal at Burton in the Setanta Shield but the goalkeeper brought him down before he had chance to roll it into the empty net.
"Aside from that he's not really had enough time on the pitch yet - it's no problem at all." The Conference Guide
Pat Kanyuka Gets The Blame
BBC - Defence blamed for Swindon exit
Swindon manager Maurice Malpas blamed defensive mistakes for being knocked out of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy at Brighton and Hove Albion.
Both of the home side's goals in the 2-0 quarter-final loss came after errors by Town's Patrick Kanyuka.
Malpas told BBC Radio Swindon: "Just now we seem to shoot ourselves in the foot. It's becoming frustrating."
The exit came just days after Swindon's humiliating FA Cup first-round defeat at non-league Histon.
Kanyuka gave away a first-half penalty, bringing down Nicky Forster to give Brighton the lead.
The former QPR defender then conceded a needless corner late in the game, from which the Seagulls scored their second.
"It was a bit naive in the first one. Pat is a bit heavy in his attempt to clear the ball," said Malpas.
"There's a bobble when he kicks it out for a corner which is bad enough, but the biggest thing is when the guy gets a free header in the middle of the goal and scores a goal."
The Swindon boss thought there were some positives to take from the match, even though his team saw their chance of taking another step towards a possible Wembley final end.
Malpas said it was a big improvement on the Histon showing.
"We've got to take one or two positives out of it. We looked brighter. In the second half we were the team in the ascendency, we just couldn't get the ball in the net." BBC
