Mail/Alex Kay - Lee Cook says QPR team-mate Tommasi's form is virtual reality
QPR winger Lee Cook said he knew new signing Damiano Tommasi would a star at Loftus Road — from playing computer game Championship Manager.
Midfielder Tommasi signed on a free from Spanish side Levante in September and made his debut at the end of last month as Gareth Ainsworth's side shocked Birmingham 1-0.
The Italian also impressed when Rangers saw off fellow play-off hopefuls Cardiff two weeks ago, something which came as no surprise to Cook.
'Damiano Tommasi is just starting to play some games for us. I knew he was going to be a top player because I always signed him on Champ Man and he always did a job for me,' said the former Fulham winger on his personal blog.
And Cook also praised the former Italian international's language skills, saying he has fitted in well at the club. 'I've been really impressed by his English as well,' said Cook.
'He's the best English speaker of all the lads who've come in from abroad and he's very easy to talk to.
'He's 34 now, has about 25 caps for Italy and was at Roma for ages so his experience is second to none. I think he´ll be a great addition to the squad in terms of both his play and bringing the young lads along too.' Mail
