- "It is now three weeks since Iain Dowie became the latest addition to the QPR Managerial Alumni Association - dismissed after only a few months as QPR's 'Head Coach.' Dan Roebuck/The Guardian on Ainsworth Odds' to Get Managership
- "...Manchester City's manager has shot to the top of the Sack Race market after three defeats in a row...
- One managerial vacancy that could be filled soon is at QPR, where Gareth Ainsworth is 6-4 (Sky Bet) to get the job permanently. It is hard to imagine Roberto Mancini, now the 11-10 (Sky Bet) favourite, standing for Flavio Briatore's alleged insistence on meddling in team affairs but Ainsworth, you feel, will almost certainly take a back seat.
- Selections
- Mark Hughes to leave Manchester City before the end of January at 13-8 (Ladbrokes).

Wycombe Official Site/Matt Cecil - BLUES GO FOR ANGELO
Peter Taylor has swooped to sign one of the most highly-rated young forwards in the Football League with Angelo Balanta joining the Blues on a two-month loan deal from Queens Park Rangers, wwfc.com can confirm.
The 18-year-old arrives at Adams Park with glowing endorsements from the Championship club and goes straight into the squad for Wanderers' home match against fellow high-flyers Bradford City on Saturday afternoon.
"I'm absolutely delighted to have him here," Taylor said. "He's a very exciting player and as much as I'm pleased with the way is performing this year, we need someone who can unlock defences and I think Angelo can do that.
"He's a little bit different and that's why I wanted him. He's still learning the game and you can't expect him to know everything at the moment but playing games here will help him," he added.
Balanta took part in his first training session on Thursday and revealed that he was delighted to seal the switch to South Bucks in order to continue his progression in the game:
"It's a great club to be at and I just want to play games and get goals under my belt," he said. "It's all new to me at the moment but I'm looking forward to it."
- Earlier this year, former Wycombe midfielder Steve Brown spoke of his admiration for the youngster's technical ability, having worked with Balanta as youth team coach at Loftus Road:
-"He's got so much natural ability it's frightening - he is the most natural player I've ever worked with," he told the Rangers' website. "He gets himself into great positions, and for that reason alone he'll score goals in this division. He can hurt people because once he's got the ball at his feet he is devastating."
-Born in Colombia, Balanta was spotted by QPR's Centre of Excellence whilst playing Sunday League football for Brunswick and progressed through the academy before making his first-team debut in December 2007.
-The first goal of his professional career came against Sheffield United in a 1-1 draw in February and the youngster has found the net twice in just seven appearances for the West London club so far this season.
However, he has not featured for QPR since the end of October and has been allowed to join the Blues for two months, with the R's inserting a clause into the deal which will allow them to recall him at 24 hours' notice after 28 days of the loan.
Like fellow loanees Simon Church and Franck Moussa, Angelo will not be allowed to play for the Wanderers in the FA Cup.
