Goal.com Parejo Is An Excellent Player - Michel
- The former youth team coach at Real Madrid has stated that he never had any doubt that Dani Parejo should be given a chance and hopes that Juande Ramos will dip into the youth team more often.
- Michel hinted that he did not want Dani Parejo to leave the club on loan in the summer and stated that he was pleased to see the youngster back at the club to be given a chance.
- Los Merengues' former youth team coach helped raise a number of highly-rated starlets that were then denied a first-team chance and he became more and more frustrated.
- Under Juande Ramos things could be changing at the Bernabéu though and Parejo being recalled is one sign that the new coach is ready to call upon the homegrown talent.
- "(Parejo) is an excellent player, just as he was five months ago," Michel was quoted by Marca as saying. The former Madrid midfielder left the club recently after a long stint at the helm of the youth set-up, but he bears no grudges against the side.
"The decisions are no longer mine to take, they are for Real Madrid to take, but it appears to be a good choice and I wish him all the best," Michel continued.
"I hope that they can go on an win the league and the Champions League.
"In my two-and-a-half years at Real Madrid I tried to have the youth players noticed, because some of them are very, very good, like players from the academy have always been." Lucas Brown, Goal.com

"FORMER Blues ace Keith Ryan has been made an Honorary Vice President of the [Wycombe] Supporters Trust. Rhino made more than 500 appearances for Wycombe and also represented the club as caretaker manager and coach before he was sacked for ‘financial reasons’.
Now working with the youth team at QPR, Ryan said: “I still have a great relationship with the Wanderers supporters and I think the trust’s role both in representing the supporters and in protecting the heritage of the club is really valuable. I am delighted to be involved.” He follows Karen Adams who was named honorary president last week." This is Local London
