- We've been planning for the Club World Cup trip for a while and so far things have gone well from a fitness point of view.
- We set out with three phases to our plan – pre-Japan, during our stay and post-Japan. We focused on the first phase in the lead-up to the game at Tottenham last weekend. That week also included our Champions League clash with Aalborg so we had to taper training somewhat to prepare the lads for those games and the trip to the Far East.
- We stayed over in London on Sunday night and got the players up early for a training session at Queens Park Rangers’ Loftus Road ground. Those who played at White Hart Lane did some recovery work, while the rest did some stimulation work....Manchester United Official Site

Birthday for Another of the 1967 Heroes: Ron Hunt Turns 63
- QPR's (small) Center Half/Center Back, Ron Hunt:- Born December 19, 1945.
Ron Hunt made his debut in December 1964 and played some 200+ games for QPR until 1972-73 when he forced to retire with a knee injury at 29.
- But of all his games, he is perhaps most famous for his role in QPR's third and winning goal in the 1967 League Cup Final when he collided with the WBA Goalie.

Sporting Life QPR MAKE EMERGENCY TAX PAYMENT
- QPR have reportedly made an emergency payment of £500,000 to the Inland Revenue to prevent the club facing a winding up order and going into administration.
Rangers would have incurred an automatic 10-point deduction under Football League regulations, and that would have meant the club dropping into the Championship relegation zone.
- However, the payment was made on Friday, and chairman Gianni Paladini told the Sunday Mirror: "There was a winding-up order in place when we took over.
"We made a first payment of £500,000 last month and another of £500,000 on Friday so we are currently up to date.
- "If we hadn't paid the bill by December 20 they'd have published details of the winding-up order in the London Gazette. There is a provisional hearing set for January if we haven't paid the bill.
"The total bill is for £1.58million and so far we have paid £1million. We've an agreed schedule with the Inland Revenue for the remainder to be paid as part of our regular monthly payment." Sporting Life
