FORTY YEARS AGO TODAY: GERRY FRANCIS MADE HIS QPR DEBUT
March 29, 1969: QPR's Penultimate Home Game at Home to Liverpool. Just under 17,000 there (when capacity was 35,000):
Like so many games in that 1968/69 season, QPR played well. Rodney Marsh played well. And QPR lost by a single goal: QPR 1 Liverpool 2. Barry Bridges scored scored for QPR. Tommy Smith 28' pen and Roger Hunt 78 for Liverpool.
