Sunday People - Dennis Wise has eye on QPR job
- DENNIS WISE is looking for a way straight back into management - with one eye on his boyhood idols QPR.
- The former Leeds boss, sacked last week as executive director of football at Newcastle, would relish the chance to mastermind QPR's chase for the Premier League, should under-pressure Hoops chief Paulo Sousa be axed.
- Toon owner Mike Ashley is understood to have paid around£ 1. 5million to terminate Wise's Newcastle deal, which had just over a year to run.
- But there were no clauses to prevent Wise from returning to football just as soon as he wants.
- Londoner Wise, 42, was never required to be based in Newcastle and kept his home in Buckinghamshire, from where he intends to commute to his next job.
- Ashley's decision to bring the former Chelsea player to Toon was never liked by fans, and they were dubbed the 'Cockney Mafia'.
- Wise last managed Leeds before quitting to join Newcastle in January 2008 Sunday People
