London Informer/Yann Tear - QPR should stop hiring and firing managers says Agyemang
- Rangers can't hope to progress next season unless they quit their habit of hiring and firing managers at will, says Patrick Agyemang.
- The striker, back in action in Saturday's drab 0-0 draw with Plymouth Argyle following a four month lay-off with a thigh injury, believes the players need stability at the top.
- "We need a stable set-up because we can't keep changing managers like that," Agyemang told the Gazette, mindful of the fact that there have been six different men in charge of first-team affairs in the year and a half since the club came under new ownership.
- "It can work both ways when you do change managers because you sometimes get a good reaction from the team if things haven't been going well.
- "But I think players need some consistency. It's better if someone is given a chance to see it through. We've got a good team and I feel we can prove we are a top six side, but that will only happen if we don't have to keep starting out all over again."- The return of the Ghanaian – and perhaps the run-outs for Angelo Balanta and Antonio German were the only real plus points of a dreadful encounter at Loftus Road on Saturday which had 'end of season stalemate' stamped all over it from the word go.
-"It wasn't ideal for me to start because I hadn't played any reserve games. but it was good to get some minutes under my belt and I'm just pushing on for the next game now," Agyemang said after his 66-minute run-out.
- "I didn't really think I'd be playing again this season but I've worked hard in the gym and I'm happy that I will get a game or two. I was happy with how it went against Plymouth. I didn't feel my injury or feel too tired." London Informer
