- Jim Magilton insists it will take time for summer signing Alejandro Faurlin to find his feet in the English game, but can't wait to see the Argentine show his true class.
- After being plagued with a thigh injury during pre-season, the 23 year-old was made to wait for his full QPR debut.
- But having come through an 85 minute appearance at Bristol City on Tuesday night unscathed, Magilton is relishing the opportunity to see him adapt to the rigours of the Championship.
- "It was a baptism of fire for Alejandro at Bristol on Tuesday night," Magilton told www.qpr.co.uk.
- "It was a very hard learning curve for him in the first 45 minutes, but he coped well.
- "And credit to the lad, he got on the ball regularly in the second half and showed glimpses of what a fine player he is.
- "He passed the ball well and in the manner we want him to."
- Magilton added: "He's been out for a long time and missed a lot of pre-season, so it's a matter of waiting for him to catch up on his match fitness.
- "He lasted longer than we thought we would, but he needs game time in his legs.
- "I think he's a very, very good player and will prove to be a decent acquisition for the Football Club" QPR

Nottingham Forest will take their search for an opening Championship win to Queens Park Rangers on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
The Reds are still smarting after their 4-2 home defeat by Watford in midweek and manager Billy Davies will be looking for a reaction in West London.
QPR also tasted defeat in midweek - they lost 1-0 at Bristol City - and are also looking for their first league win of the campaign.

Team news

As Luke Chambers returns to Billy Davies' squad after serving a three-match ban, The Reds are coming to terms with the news that Lewis McGugan is facing a lengthy spell out.
The midfielder, who suffered a fractured cheekbone in the first half against Watford, will undergo surgery next week and will be sidelined for up to six weeks.

Chambers, meanwhile, is almost certain to return to the starting line-up in the centre of defence, which will see Joel Lynch return to left back and enable Davies to select Chris Cohen in his preferred midfield role.
Forest will still be without Julian Bennett, Guy Moussi, Garath McCleary, James Perch and Kelvin Wilson - although Davies has revealed the latter is well on the road to recovery from a pre-season ankle injury.
Rangers could give a debut to goalkeeper Tom Heaton after he joined them on loan from Manchester United.
Heaton was on the bench against Bristol City in midweek but could get the nod to face Forest.

Their key man

Wayne Routledge swopped life in the Premier League with Aston Villa when he joined Rangers in January.
The diminutive wide man struggled to make an impact at Villa Park but has been a big hit at Loftus Road.
He scored just once in 19 appearances for Rangers last term but underlined his goal-scoring potential last week in the Carling Cup with a hat-trick against Exeter.

What the record books say

Forest have recorded 24 all-time league and cup wins over QPR from 54 meetings between the two sides.
Rangers have recorded 14 victories, while 16 games have finished drawn - including their last meeting at The City Ground in February.
The Reds came from behind to snatch a 2-2 draw that was certainly earned in adverse circumstances.
Billy Davies was not only unable to call upon no fewer than seven players for the game but also lost the services of striker Nathan Tyson with a nasty gash above his right eye with just 15 minutes on the clock.
But despite their problems, Forest struck the first blow against Rangers with Lewis McGugan firing us in front from the penalty spot just before half-time after Matteo Alberti had brought down Luke Chambers.
But the visitors were back on level terms before the break with Alberti making amends for his error by converting Matt Connolly's cross from the right.
The Italian scored again two minutes into the second half, holding off the challenge of Brendan Moloney before finishing superbly.
Cohen, however, had the last laugh as he headed past Lee Camp from Luke Chambers' right-wing cross to secure a point.
