BBC - Waddock poised for Wycombe switch
- Aldershot manager Gary Waddock is set to take over at League One side Wycombe Wanderers, BBC Surrey understands.
- A source close to the club says that Waddock told the players he is leaving following Tuesday's training session.
- Separate sources claim that Wycombe, have made an approach for Waddock, 47, who last week distanced himself from the vacant managerial post at Luton.
- Wycombe, who parted company with boss Peter Taylor last week, are set to make an announcement later on Tuesday.
- Cheltenham's Martin Allen had previously ruled himself out of contention to replace Taylor, saying he "had no interest in Wycombe".
- Waddock joined Aldershot in May 2007, leading the Shots to promotion from the Blue Square Premier back to the Football League in his first season, as well as winning the Setanta Shield.
- After a mid-table finish in League Two last season, the Shots are currently sitting in sixth place.
- Wycombe, in 23rd place in League One, have been without a manager since the departure last Friday of Taylor, who had led the Chairboys to promotion in May." BBC
- Skysports - Wycombe Reportedly Want Gary Waddock as their New Manager
"Skysports.com understands that Wycombe Wanderers have made a move to appoint Aldershot Town's Gary Waddock as their new manager.
- Highly-rated Waddock took charge at Aldershot in 2007 after a brief stint in charge of Queens Park Rangers. In his first full season in charge he guided the Shots to the Conference title and has since established them in League Two, where they currently sit in sixth place.
- Now the Hampshire club look like losing Waddock, after Wycombe made their move..." Skysports

- WYCOMBE Wanderers are not commenting on reports that Aldershot boss Gary Waddock will be appointed their manager this week.
- Sky Sports claim that Wanderers have made a move to appoint him, but the club say they will 'neither confirm or deny' the story.
- They are expected to hold a press conference within 24 hours to announce their new boss though.
- Waddock, who has a reputation for playing attacking football, led Aldershot to the Conference title in his first season in charge and last year they finished 15th in League Two, after beating Blues 3-2 in a thriller at The Recreation Ground.
- At the moment they are sixth in the table. Bucks Free Press
Mail/Standard - EXCLUSIVE: QPR line up loan swoop for Wigan striker Marlon King - 13th October 2009
- Queens Park Rangers are plotting a loan move for Wigan misfit Marlon King.
- The Jamaica international has struggled to make an impact with the Latics since sealing a big-money move from Watford last year.
- King was shipped out on loan to Middlesbrough and Hull City last season and is currently behind Hugo Rodallega and Jason Scotland in Roberto Martinez's attacking options.
- King is thought to be keen on returning to London in a bid to recapture the form that prompted then Latics chief Steve Bruce to spend £4m on him in January 2008.
And QPR manager Jim Magilton is keen on giving the 29-year-old a route back to the capital and is eyeing a temporary deal for the striker.
- Any move is subject to the future of underfire co-owner Flavio Briatore, who could be forced to give up his stake in the club if the Football League stop him from having any involvement with their 92 registered clubs over his controversial ban from Formula One. " Mail

QPR Official Site - BE OUR 12TH MAN - RODNEY RETURNS
- R's legend Rodney Marsh will be returning to Loftus Road this weekend, as the Hoops lock horns with high-flying Preston North End in the Coca Cola Championship.
- The former Rangers striker will be in the QPR Superstore between 1.30-2.00pm to sign copies of the popular Hooped Dreams book, available now for just £9.99.
- And as the roll out of our 'Be Our 12th Man' campaign continues, we've taken this opportunity to look back at an extract from Issue One of our popular QPR: The Official Magazine, when the man himself paid tribute to the R's faithful...
- Rodney Marsh has always got on well with the fans. There is one relationship in particular he describes as 'sensational, absolutely sensational,' but is at a loss as to the origins.
- "I don't know why it happened or how it happened. I would make mistakes and they'd cheer me. They started the 'Rod-nee' chant. When I first came I came with a reputation. They sung that to take the mick. But after I scored 20 goals it became an original and iconic chant.
- "Other teams copied it, using other people's names, but it was a Rangers fan's original. The relationship was special and genuine and even after Stan (Bowles) came, they used the chant but with his name. I always had that affinity with the supporters."
- It's no surprise then that Marsh will always consider QPR as the closest to his heart. "My Club is QPR, I don't deny that to anyone. QPR was the happiest time of my football life. QPR
