"...I have a clause that if a Premier League club wants me, I can leave in January...Spurs wanted me to sign a contract (extension) in the summer but I wanted to go to Spain or Italy. They wouldn’t let me, so I went back to the Championship to show what I can do, and hopefully I’ll be in the Premier League soon." Daily Mail/Phil Gradwell

Briatore Suing: - The full Briatore statement read:
- Flavio Briatore has confirmed that tomorrow he will commence proceedings in the Paris Tribunal de Grande Instance (High Court) challenging the decision announced by the FIA World Motor Sport Council on 21st September 2009.
The principal grounds for this action are:
The FIA's deliberate breach of the rights of the defence FIA including
- the delay in the issue of the summons;
- the failure to state the charges in advance;
- the lack of access provided to prosecution documents and to the key witness;
Breach of the rules of natural justice including
- the lack of impartiality of the body passing judgment;
- the secret negotiation of the decision content before the hearing; and
- the granting of selective immunities in order to build the prosecution's case;
The FIA's manifest excess and abuse of power including
- the penalty imposed on a non-licensee of the FIA;
- the disproportionate and illegal nature of an indefinite boycott decision; and
- the threat to refuse to renew the FIA licence in breach of the Federation's regulations and of the International Sporting Code.
Flavio Briatore intends to obtain an Order from the Court quashing the FIA's decision insofar as it relates to him, together with an Order, subject to a penalty for non-compliance, requiring the Federation to withdraw any penalty imposed on him.
He is also seeking damages and official publication of the court's decision.

Queens Park Rangers' finance director Gavin Taylor quits football club to set up hedge fund
- Gavin Taylor, Queens Park Rangers' finance director, has quit the Championship football club to set up a City hedge fund with the backing of Alejandro Agag, the club's managing director and a long-time colleague of disgraced Formula 1 boss Flavio Briatore.
- Mr Taylor will leave QPR at the end of year to become finance director of the new fund, to be launched in the new year to invest in equities.
- He will be working with Ignacio Muñoz-Alonso, a former head of Rothschild Espana, who is joining as chief executive and will lead the investment strategy.
- 'Mr Agag, one of Spain's most successful businessmen, whose extensive list of contacts includes the former Prime Minister Tony Blair, will become chairman but remain managing director of QPR.
- The decision to establish a hedge fund is a bold one, given the industry's difficulties at the moment, with investors clamouring to redeem funds.
- However, Mr Agag has already drummed up a significant amount of seed capital and will be able to call on political luminaries to act as consultants and advisers to lend the fund authority.
- Mr Agag, 39, is married to Ana Aznar Botella, the daughter of José Maria Aznar, the former Spanish Prime Minister.
- Their wedding in 2002 was attended by Mr Blair, as well as Silvio Berlusconi, Rupert Murdoch and Julio Iglesias.
- After serving briefly as an MEP, he moved into business and built friendships with three of Europe's wealthiest men, Mr Briatore, F1 owner Bernie Ecclestone and steel magnate Lakshmi Mittal.
- His first big success was in buying local transmission rights for F1 in 2002, when the sport had only a modest following.
- Fernando Alonso's success has transformed it into a wealthy venture. Mr Agag was subsequently part of the consortium, including Mr Briatore, Mr Ecclestone and Mr Mittal, who bought QPR for €60m (£55m).
- Mr Agag has a separate UK business, Addax Capital, an investment manager that specialises in fund management, foreign exchange trading and advisory services to sovereign wealth funds.
- Mr Taylor and Mr Munoz Alonso are directors of Addax alongside Mr Agag. Mr Taylor has experience of hedge funds after working in investment management audit at Ernst & Young.
- The team has yet to decide on a name for the fund, which will be based a stone's throw from the department store Harrods, in west London's upmarket Knightsbridge district.
- Sources said that none of the QPR owners will be significant investors in the fund.
- In 2007, the consortium that bought the football club outlined their medium-term plans of taking it into the Premier League by 2011 Telegraph
