BBC - Gianni Paladini's future at troubled Championship club QPR is in doubt.
- BBC Sport understands Paladini has offered his resignation as sporting director after being barracked by fans during Tuesday's loss against Ipswich.
The Italian is expected to continue in his role as club chairman until the end of next month, when his position is due to be reviewed.
It will then be decided whether Paladini will have any further involvement at Loftus Road.
Paladini, a former agent, bought a stake in QPR in 2004.
He took control the following year after a boardroom dispute led to the ousting of - Bill Power as chairman and chief executive Mark Devlin.
Paladini remained as club chairman after a Flavio-Briatore led takeover in August 2007, and was later handed the additional title of sporting director.
Co-owner Briatore, who is chairman of the club's parent company, QPR Holdings, has been criticised following a series of problems on and off the pitch.
Paladini, who has had a major influence over transfer deals, has also come under fire.
QPR are currently 17th in the table - only two points off the relegation zone - and have lost their last four games.
Mick Harford has been in caretaker charge since Paul Hart departed last month after only five matches at the helm.
Hart was Rangers' eighth manager since 2006 and their sixth since Briatore's arrival. BBC

The family of QPR's Honoury Life President Harold Winton, who sadly passed away on Monday, have issued the following statement:

Dear all Staff, Management, Directors, Players and Supporters of Queens Park Rangers Football Club,

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to you all for the amazing send off that you gave Dad at Tuesday night's game.

Knowing the wonderfully unorthodox nature of Dad, I'm sure he would have chosen to be looking down on W12 on Tuesday night rather than the family's own memorial service in W1.

He would have been deeply touched by the minute's silence, as we all are!

Unfortunately we weren't able to be at the game, but it's been caught on DVD and we should have it soon. This will provide an everlasting amazing memory and memorial to him that will be cherished by our family.

At a pretty difficult time for QPR, I think that the wonderfully observed minute's silence proves that there is still a tremendous spirit and togetherness at the Club.

We would like to extend a special thank you to all of the Club's Executives and Staff for ensuring this very fitting tribute was carried out so quickly and with such sympathy to the whole family.

Thank you all for always having been great friends to Dad.

The Football League has announced the full shortlists for 12 awards at the 2010 Football League Awards incorporating FourFourTwo's Top 50 Football League Players, with the winners set to be announced at a gala ceremony at Grosvenor House on Park Lane on Sunday 14th March 2010.

QPR have been shortlisted for the following categories:

The Football Foundation Community Club of the Year
A total of 35 clubs have been shortlisted for Awards, with only 13 clubs earning more than one entry.

This year's Awards have seen a 23% increase in entries with 295 submissions being received from clubs across all three divisions.

In announcing the successful clubs, Football League Chairman, Lord Mawhinney, said: "The annual Football League Awards gives us the opportunity to recognise excellence both on and off the field.

"I congratulate all clubs who have made the shortlists for this year's event. The number and quality of entries has been outstanding."

Andy Evans, CEO of QPR In The Community Trust, said: "Over the past year, young people from the West London community have been inspired through the work of QPR in the Community Trust and its great team of staff and coaches.

"We are very proud of the significant and growing role that the Trust plays in inner city London and also overseas.

"On behalf of all the staff and coaches at QPR in the Community Trust we are delighted to have been shortlisted for Community Club of the Year."

Expert judging panels were assembled for each category - including representatives of the media, the sports industry and The Football League - with the process of evaluating each entry taking place at Football League headquarters on 27th and 28th January.
