Paul Warburton/Fulham Chronicle - QPR boss eyes new loan signings
- NEIL Warnock has targeted a loan striker and defender to make sure QPR get well clear of the Championship drop zone.
- The new boss got off to a sensational start with two wins out of two this week, including Rangers’ first clean sheet in 25 attempts, but still feels he is a couple of players light.
- Rs beat Plymouth Argyle 2-0 on Tuesday night to go with Saturday’s 3-1 win over West Brom, but Hoops’ fifth manager of the season is ready to add to the squad.
- He said: "I’m not going to rush into anything, but we’ll be looking at it over the next week or so. If someone has to go back to his club, it’ll be a tough call - but football can be a tough business."
- It is understood the deals that brought strikers Marcus Bent and Tamas Priskin tie them to Rs until the end of the season, barring serious injury.
- The four other loanees, Carl Ikeme, Matt Hill, Adel Taarabt, and Jay Simpson have all shown their worth over the last week - so the QPR board will almost certainly back his judgement and pay to have three loan players on the sidelines.
- League rules forbid more than five players from another club in any one squad. Fulham Chronicle

Mirror/Alan Nixon - Blackpool set to beat QPR in race for Everton loan star
- Everton's highly-rated Irish-right back Seamus Coleman is wanted on loan by Ian Holloway's promotion-chasing Blackpool.
- The cavalier defender will be allowed to go out for more first-team experience after a couple of cameo appearances.
- And Holloway wants to beat his old side QPR in the signing race, putting Coleman into his plans for the promotion crunch with West Brom tomorrow.
- Holloway is looking for more class to add to his ranks as he chases an unlikely play-off finish and Coleman could help his team for the rest of the campaign.
- Coleman is keen to get some action after slipping down the pecking order with the return of some senior pros - and Everton also going out of Europe.
- QPR chief Neil Warnock also wants to take on the talented attack-minded full-back but he is restricted by the number of loan players he already has at Rangers - and needs to shift out a couple first. Mirror

Mail - Leeds, Middlesbrough and QPR in chase for Sheffield United midfielder Montgomery
- Nick Montgomery is poised to walk out on Sheffield United this summer after refusing to sign a new deal at Bramall Lane.
The midfield hardman is out of contract at the end of this season and Doncaster, Queens Park Rangers, Middlesbrough and Leeds are all keen. Mail
