Mirror/James Nursey - Warnock wants to spend £10million on NINE new players - Exclusive
- Neil Warnock has told QPR he wants to sign NINE players this summer as he plans to spend up to £10million.
- Warnock, 61, arrived at Loftus Road on a three-and-a-half-year contract last month.
- But he has won just twice in nine matches at struggling Championship Rangers since succeeding Mick Harford.
- Now Warnock is expected to be given a huge summer transfer kitty from new majority shareholder Lakshmi Mittal to turn around the club’s fortunes.
His targets include Sc*n*horpe striker Gary Hooper, who has hit 14 goals this term.
And Warnock also intends raiding his old club Crystal Palace for Julian Speroni, Nathaniel Clyne, Darren Ambrose and Neil Danns.
QPR also have seven loan players but the club are only interested in keeping Adel Taarabt from Tottenham and Arsenal’s Jay Simpson. Mirror

Paul Warburton/Fulham Chronicle - QPR Spurs coach Les Ferdinand eyes QPR hotseat
- LES Ferdinand has set his sights on managing QPR.
- The Rangers hero, affectionately known as Sir Les, has revealed for the first time he wants to return to his old club as number one - but admits he may have to serve his apprenticeship elsewhere before returning to his beloved Loftus Road.
- The 43-year-old former England striker from Paddington has also spent a frustrating 14 years-plus since he became Rs’ record transfer sale, praying they would return to the Premiership.
- Ferdinand is currently coaching the strikers at Tottenham - but has set his sights higher.
- He said: "QPR would be the first club on my list where I would like to become manager. I might have to wait maybe four or five years - or whatever it takes, but it would be a dream job for me.

“From the moment they went down, all I ever wanted was to see them back in the Premier League.
- “I know at some stage I will go into management, but at the moment being the strikers’ coach at Tottenham is a great learning curve." Fulham Chronicle
