Official Site - HILL: 'EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!'
- New signing Clint Hill has warned his new team-mates to 'expect the unexpected' over the next few weeks, as the R's pre-season heats up.
- Hill - who penned a two-year deal in W12 yesterday (Thursday) morning - told www.qpr.co.uk: "It's totally different to any other pre-season campaign I've ever had.
- "It's always good fun, but it will be very, very hard work.
- "Neil's got his own methods and it will be completely different for some of the lads in the squad.
- "Me and Dezza (Shaun Derry) might have a bit of advantage in that we kind of know what's coming, but it will be a huge shock to the system for most." QPR

Paul Warburton/Fulham Chronicle - Alejandro Faurlin close to new QPR deal
- ALEJANDRO Faurlin wants his QPR future sewn up in the next two weeks - not least because top Spanish and Italian clubs are knocking on the door for the influential midfielder.
- According to agent Lucas Cominelli, a Serie A side and another from La Liga want to poach the Argentine after he got better and better as a central force for Rangers in his first campaign.
- However, both agent and player are waiting to hear back if the Rangers offer of an extended contract until 2014 also comes with the right wages.
- Cominelli said: "We have met twice with QPR, and although the extension is good for Alejandro, we hope to sort out one or two other things as well.
- “We know (manager) Neil Warnock wants him, and that is encouraging - and everybody wants him to stay.
- “But it would be fair to say a Spanish club and a Serie A club have also asked about his availability."
- Faurlin was a reported £3.5million record capture from his home country last summer, and after an uncertain start became a vital factor in steadying a Rangers ship rocked by five different managers during the campaign" Fulham Chronicle

QPR Official Site - RAMAGE: 'TOUGH, BUT ENJOYABLE'
- Peter Ramage was full of praise for new Strength & Conditioning Coach Carl Serrant, following the R's first pre-season training session yesterday (Thursday) morning.

Following a seven week break from competitive action, Neil Warnock's First Team squad returned to Harlington to be met by a new-look backroom team, as well as a few new faces within the squad.

Speaking exclusively to www.qpr.co.uk, Ramage said: "It's been a long summer but it's gone really quick. I've had a few holidays and spent time back up home with the family and friends.

"It was a good first session. The boys worked their socks off and I think if we keep going like that we'll be ready for the start of the season.

"It was very, very tough, but if you've done a bit over the summer, like myself, it feels good.

"It's good to be back. I've always come back in good shape and although it was a tough day, I think we'll feel the benefits of it in the long-term."

Ramage added: "Carl's a top man. I was a young professional at Newcastle when he was a player there, so I kind of knew him. I've got a few friends up North who've worked and played with him and they've had nothing but good things to say about him.

"His sessions are really tough, but enjoyable as well - something that you don't normally associate with pre-season.

"I'm going to miss the first couple of games owing to suspension, so it's extra important for me to impress over this period.

"Hopefully I'll get my chance at centre-half this season.

"It's my preferred position. I'll play wherever the Manager wants me to, but I'd like to push for a spot there." QPR
