- Following his release by mutual consent with Swansea City FC, Leicester City confirm that they have initiated talks with Paolo Sousa in regards to the vacant Manager's job. Further updates will be provided in due course" Leicester Official
Swansea Official Site - Swans part company with Paulo
- Swansea City have parted company with manager Paulo Sousa by mutual consent.
- The move comes following a meeting between Swans chairman Huw Jenkins and Paulo Sousa over the weekend.
- Both parties agreed that the current speculation regarding the manager's future was harmful to the club and, as a result, Paulo was granted his request to speak to LeicesterCity about the vacant manager's job at the Walkers Stadium.
- Paulo was officially named as Swansea manager on June 23, 2009, following the departure of Roberto Martinez to Premier League Wigan.
- The former Portuguese international guided the Swans to seventh place in the Championship last season - the club's highest position in 27 years.
Swansea City would like to thank Paulo for his services over the last year and wish him well for the future.

Reports he has accepted Leicester offer

- Paulo Sousa is reported to have left Swansea City, amid speculation he is to take charge of Championship rivals Leicester.
- The Portuguese legend took charge at The Liberty Stadium last summer, succeeding Roberto Martinez - who joined Premier League Wigan.
- Sousa had already experienced life in England during a five-month stint with QPR, but he showed a real liking for life in South Wales as he guided them to the play-offs in his first-year in charge.
- But now according to Welsh and Portuguese sources, Sousa has left Swansea and accepted an offer to take charge of Leicester, who lost manager Nigel Pearson to Hull City earlier in the week.
- Reports suggest that Sousa failed to agree terms over a new deal with Swansea and is now set to pen a three-year deal at The Walkers Stadium. Skysports

- Swansea City manager Paulo Sousa has left his position by mutual consent and is set to take up the vacant post at Leicester City, BBC Wales understands.
- The club are due to make at statement at 0930 BST on Monday.
- It is understood compensation has been agreed with Leicester for Sousa who was granted permission to speak to the Foxes.

World Cup 2010: Brazil sack coach Dunga
Dunga was already expected to stand down as Brazil coach after the World Cup
- Dunga has been sacked as Brazil coach following his country's quarter-final exit from the World Cup.
- A statement from the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) confirmed the former captain has been dismissed, along with his entire coaching staff.
- Dunga, 46, who returned with his squad to Brazil on Sunday, had already said he was likely to go after their 2-1 defeat by the Netherlands on Friday.
- The CBF revealed that a new coach would be installed by the end of the month.
- Corinthians manager Mano Menezes and former AC Milan coach Leonardo have already been tipped as possible successors, as well as former Brazil coach Wanderley Luxemburgo.
- Luiz Felipe Scolari, who coached Brazil to a fifth World Cup title in 2002, has ruled himself out due to his commitments with club side Palmeiras.
- Dunga, whose full name is Carlos Caetano Bledorn Verri, is a legend in his homeland after captaining his side to World Cup victory at USA 1994.
- He took over as coach of the national side in 2006, replacing Carlos Alberto Parreira despite having no prior professional coaching experience.
- His more pragmatic style of play split opinions in Brazil, with some supporters believing it stifled the natural attacking flair of the five-time world champions.
- As far back as December 2009, Dunga revealed he would step down after this year's finals, even if his side managed to lift the trophy in South Africa.
- However, defeat to the Dutch put an end to their dreams of a sixth world title.
- "With the closing of the work cycle that started in August 2006 and ended with the elimination of Brazil from the World Cup in South Africa, the CBF announces the dismissal of the Technical Commission of the Brazilian team," the federation said in its statement.
- The first big challenge for the new coach will be the 2011 South American championship - the Copa America - due to be held in Argentina.
- However, the 2014 World Cup will dominate the agenda, particularly as the tournament will be held in Brazil for the first time since 1950. BBC

- On QPR’S reported inquiry about right-back Peltier, who made a big impression in his first season as a Town player after moving from Yeovil, Clark said: “It’s absolute nonsense.
- “Nobody at this club has had any contact with anyone from QPR and Lee Peltier’s agent has told me he knows nothing about the matter.
