QPR talks with Adel Taarabt hung in the balance today after the midfielder’s father advised his son to hold out for more money.
Chronicle sport understands talks initially broke down with Taarabt senior over the weekly wage for the 21-year-old Moroccan international – despite a four-year deal and ‘excellent terms’ according to a club insider that were left sitting on the table for an hour or two.
Taarabt was a huge hit among fans during his loan spell at Loftus Road last season scoring a contender for goal of the season.
And parent club Spurs were willing to let the player go for a cut-price £1million, but Rangers are still holding out hope they will get Taarabt in time to name him in the side to face Barnsley on Saturday Kilburn Times
