QPR INJURY UPDATE Ben Kosky/Kilburn Times - No rush back for injured QPR trio
- INJURED QPR trio Rob Hulse, Alejandro Faurlin and Bradley Orr are likely to remain on the sidelines until the middle of next month.
- The three are all making steady recoveries from their respective injuries, but Rangers' newly-acquired squad depth makes them reluctant to risk anyone before the next international break.
- That means Hulse, signed from Derby last month but currently out of action with an Achilles problem, may have to wait until the home game against Norwich on October 16 for his QPR debut.
- Faurlin, who limped off last week at Ipswich, has been replaced in the side by Akos Buzsaky, with Tottenham loanee Kyle Walker filling in at right-back while Orr shakes off a calf injury.
- "Rob's getting better but we can take our time with him," said Rs assistant boss Mick Jones. "We've got a few options - Patrick Agyemang, in particular, is desperate to play.
- "Patrick's on fire at the moment - he's smelt what's going on and he wants to be part of it. He's a great character. We can chuck him on the field at any time and we know we'll get a performance from him.
- "Now we've got Walker, there's no need to rush Bradley back either and Ali [Faurlin] is a tremendous player, but Akos has come into the team and done well.
- "They'll come back when they're ready and if that isn't before the next international break, it's not a great problem. If we get to that point without them, they'll come back fitter."

QPR opened their doors to two highly-rated young Indian footballers earlier today (Thursday), as the second stage of the Mumbai Soccer Challenge began in earnest at the Club's Harlington training complex.
Back in the New Year, Shaun Fernandes and Hussain Vahanvathy progressed from a unique five-a-side tournament involving municipal government aided and private schools in South Mumbai.
An incredible 2,000 children participated in the event, which was open to boys and girls, aged from eight to ten and 11 to 14 years-old.
A total of 24 children were hand-picked to take part in a follow-up QPR coaching clinic, where the final two were selected to make the trip to West London.
The sheer scale of the event was best demonstrated by the fact that in attendance was Minister of State for Civil Aviation Praful Patel, MP Milind Deora, Indian National Team Captain Baichung Bhutia, as well as QPR's Amit Bhatia and Ishan Saksena.
Nine months on, Fernandes and Vahanvathy will spend the next six weeks at QPR, taking part in daily training sessions under the watchful eye of Youth Development Manager, Steve Gallen, and his team of coaches.
Here, they will participate with the Under-18 and Under-16 squads, covering various aspects of skill development, as well as fitness and conditioning training.
The pair will also take part in a series of matches during their stay, in a bid to further enhance their experience in the English game.
Whilst in the UK, the two boys will also have the opportunity to see the sights and sounds of the capital city, including trips to the new Wembley Stadium and the R's Loftus Road stadium.
In order to get a better understanding of the various facets of the London community, both boys shall be staying with a host family, to further their experience of the English Culture.
On a daily basis, the boys will also spend time studying.
Speaking to www.qpr.co.uk, Bhatia - who is scheduled to meet the boys at Harlington on Thursday - revealed his delight at the R's involvement in the scheme, commenting: "With the Club having an Indian association, an initiative like this was always going to be on the cards.
"It fits perfectly with what we are trying to achieve, both as a Club and with QPR Football in the Community Trust.
"We are planning long term. We want to give something back to our fans from all over the world and we are already showing our intentions with support of this scheme.
"I believe this initiative, undertaken by Mr Milind Deora, is unique for the children of South Mumbai and we are proud to be associated with Mr Deora and his vision."
Saksena added: "We're delighted to be showing our support to this scheme and we're really looking forward to welcoming both boys to the Club.
"The Youth department is thriving here and both Hussain and Shaun will reap the benefits over the course of the six weeks.
"We hope to give them both the experience of a lifetime."

Rodney Marsh - QPR (1966-67)
Marsh began his career in the old First Division with Fulham in the '60s, but a succession of injuries meant he was unable to fulfil his potential with a club that had been flirting with relegation for some time.
It was after he was sold to Third Division side QPR in 1966 that his career finally got on track, and he was the club's shining light, scoring 44 goals in his first season.
It was through the League Cup that he took the national headlines, though, as QPR reached Wembley for the first time. Amid chants of "Rod-ney! Rod-ney!", Marsh scored a spectacular goal 15 minutes from time in a 3-2 win over top-flight West Brom before breaking down in tears of joy at the final whistle.

Don Rogers - Swindon (1968-69)
Despite spending the majority of his Robins career in the third tier, Rogers remains perhaps the greatest Swindon player of all time, and his role in the 1969 League Cup success was his crowning glory.
A skilful outside left with the ability to score goals, he was the key man as Third Division Swindon saw off Bertie Mee's highly-rated Arsenal side, which featured the likes of Bob Wilson, Frank McLintock and George Graham. Rogers scored twice in the second half of extra time - one a fierce drive and the other a neat piece of skill that left Wilson floored - to give his side a 3-1 win.
