QPR Official Site - WARNOCK: "I'VE GOT A GREAT BUNCH"
Neil Warnock was delighted to see his R's come away with maximum points against Preston at Loftus Road this afternoon.
QPR won 3-1, courtesy of Rob Hulse's first goal for the Club and a stunning Adel Taarabt brace, and Warnock told www.qpr.co.uk: "This is a good game to get out of the way.
"I wasn't really looking forward to this one, if I'm honest.
"Due to the internationals in the week, we didn't see a few of the players until Thursday, and even then we had to rest a couple from training. It's been disruptive but I've got a great bunch here.
"In the first half today I thought we were a little bit individual in our play. I had to have a word with one of two at the break, but the response in the second half was superb.
"Adel scored two super goals, but it wasn't just his goals that pleased me. I thought he was a super captain in the second half. His effort when he lost the ball was excellent.
"All the players know what I feel about Adel, and they're the same. It would be easy to bawl at him, but we see what he can do, and what he is capable of.
"We are all in this together and I think I've got five or six captains on the pitch, they don't need an armband.
"The only game where I could really criticise Adel for his performance was Bristol City, but I think he learnt a lot from that match.
"If you watch him, you can see he is trying his hardest to do what i want him to do when we lose the ball. I have nothing but praise for him. You'd pay just to watch him - my lad comes just to see him!"
Today's triumph saw Rangers extend their unbeaten run to 18 matches, and Warnock added: "Everyone that comes to see us now enjoys it. Yeah, we're going to lose at some point but so what?
"I don't think it is possible to go the season unbeaten. We're not Arsenal, are we? There are too many very similar teams in the Championship.
"It's a long season and there are still six or seven teams vying for automatic promotion. We've just got to keep our feet on the floor."

Goals from Rob Hulse and delicious double from Adel Taarabt sent QPR back to the summit of the npower Championship.
The R's were on the front foot from the off, taking the lead as early as the 4th minute when Rob Hulse turned home Kyle Walker's cross that was spilled by the keeper.
QPR created a number of further of chances to score in the first period that they couldn't take - before Taarabt stole the show after the break with two splendid strikes.
The Moroccan magician sent home an unstoppable 25-yard drive on 54 minutes before adding another from similar distance with six minutes left to play to cap another memorable display.
Late on, Matt Connolly turned the ball into his own for a Preston consolation and there was even time for Martin Rowlands to make his first appearance at Loftus Road in 13 months, as QPR stormed back to the top of the league ahead of next Saturday's mouth-watering clash at home to Cardiff City.
R's gaffer Neil Warnock made three changes, as well as a tactical reshuffle, for the visit of Preston to W12.
Connolly came back into starting XI after missing last weekend's trip to Nottingham Forest through suspension, replacing Shaun Derry - who was serving his own one-match ban.
Meanwhile, Leon Clarke replaced Tommy Smith to make his first league start in QPR colours, and Fitz Hall came in for Hogan Ephraim.
Paddy Kenny was in goal for the R's in a 4-2-3-1 formation, behind a back four of Walker, Hall, Kaspars Gorkss and Clint Hill.
Connolly and Faurlin were just in front of the defence, while Jamie Mackie, Taarabt and Clarke were deployed in attacking midfield roles.
Hulse headed the R's attack up front.
On a bitingly cold afternoon in the capital, the R's got off to the perfect start when they took a fourth-minute lead.
Walker's swashbuckling run saw him beat one man down the right before the defender's cross was spilt by Lilywhites keeper Andy Lonergan into the path of Hulse.
The big striker simply couldn't miss from six-yards out, as he bundled the ball over the line for his first-ever QPR goal.
Soon after, North End defender Ritchie De Laet was unlucky not to find the target when his smashed shot from 20 yards was deflected away for a corner.
However, the R's were soon back on the offensive.
Taarabt picked up possession midway into the Preston half and, when his misplaced pass to Connolly deflected up into the path of Mackie 12 yards from goal, the QPR front-man swiped an effort high and wide of the target.
Moments later, Mackie was back in the thick of the play to dispossess Wayne Brown on the edge of his own box.
One-on-one with the keeper, Mackie looked certain to find the net but could only fire his shot straight at Lonergan, before Clarke blasted the resultant loose ball over the bar.
The R's were creating a number of opportunities to find the net and, as the first-half clock ticked down, Gorkss could only direct his nodded effort over the target after he rose highest to get on the end of Taarabt's pinpoint corner.
The first ten minutes of the second half were scrappy but the tie sparked into life when both sides fashioned excellent chances to score.
Kenny was forced into a fine save to thwart Adam Barton, blocking the midfielder's effort with his legs after Jon Parkin's defence-splitting pass.
Hulse's cross-come-shot then somehow flashed across the face of goal without a touch, after Taarabt danced his way past the Preston defence before finding the striker down the right.
And the magical Moroccan was soon involved again, as he notched the R's second goal in breathtaking fashion.
It was a strike of the highest quality from Taarabt who, after picking up possession midway into the opposing half, drove at the Preston defence before curling a spectacular 25-yard effort into the top right-hand corner.
It was a deserved goal for a player whose ability continues to astound.
Hot off the back of doubling their lead, QPR went within inches of adding another.
Taarabt was the architect. His teasing corner found the head of Gorkss and, when Lonergan was on hand to beat the Latvian international's header away, Hulse's effort from the loose ball was cleared off the line by a Preston defender.
Lonergan was again on hand to block another Taarabt effort from close range, but he was powerless to prevent Taarabt's spectacular second - QPR's third.
Taarabt - in his accustomed 'free-role' - picked up possession from 25 yards before drilling the ball above the keeper and into the back of the net.
Preston pulled a goal back on 88 minutes, after Connolly diverted the ball into his own goal following a cross from the right.
But a consolation was all it was to be, as the R's held out to record another superb victory.

Preston Official Site - Ferguson's QPR Assessment
Darren Ferguson admitted that the unbeaten Queens Park Rangers deserved all three points at Loftus Road following two superb strikes from midfielder Adel Taarabt.
North End fell behind to a sloppy goal in the third minute and could have easily levelled the game after a good spell prior to the half time whistle.
However, two fine long distance efforts from the QPR's playmaker put the game out of reach before Matthew Connolly's own goal gave Preston a consolation near the end.
Speaking after the game, Darren Ferguson said: "At 1-0 they were getting a little bit restless. The second goal, to be fair was hell of a goal from the lad, we knew he was capable of doing it. But individual errors are costing us games to be honest with you.
"You come here and it is hard enough as it is. After losing a goal after three minutes like we did, I thought that we responded okay, if we could have got the next goal then we would have thought that we can win this because they were getting a bit restless even at 1-0. The second goal though changes the game."
Taarabt's goal unfortunately gave the home side the two goal cushion and when there was just one goal in the game, Ferguson was confident that his side still had a good chance of claiming something from the game.
Ferguson said: "The one thing that we didn't want to do was chase the game because we know that they have got players, in particular Taarabt that can hurt you. That is why we put Darel Russell on him, he can be frustrating but we know what sort of player he can be.
"We were going to change it and put Iain [Hume] closer to Jon [Parkin] but it was just a matter of time when. We felt that the longer that we stayed in the game at 1-0, the more chance we would have. The second goal, as good a finish as it is, we have seen enough stuff on him to know that he can do that."
The Preston manager went onto say: "I think that it is a league that is unpredictable, anybody can beat anybody in this league. But you give yourself hell of a challenge being 1-0 down after three minutes through a poor goal. We're just not doing the basics well enough and QPR deserved to win."
Something that did encourage the manager was his side's reaction to going a goal down early in the game. With the scores on level terms at the break, Ferguson did believe that his side could claim something from the side who are unbeaten in the Championship.
"You're not going to be going into it with a massive amount of confidence because where we are in the league," Ferguson said. "But you have got to go in with the belief that you are going to get something out of the game.
"I thought that we responded quite well to the start that we made, Jon had a great chance but he missed it in the six yard box. We all felt that at half time, if we go and get the next goal then we can probably go on and get something."
Preston face another big game at Deepdale next week as they entertain last year's League One Play-Off winners Millwall. After the game in West London, Ferguson was adamant that he wants his players to keep believing in their abilities.
When asked what his side need, Ferguson said: "A win, a bit of luck, we have got to keep believing, that is the biggest thing. I said to them at half time I don't know if we believe that we are going to get something out of it. If Adam [Barton] scores then it is a different game, but it is ifs and buts again.

MIRROR - QPR 3-1 Preston: Sunday Mirror match report
Darren Ferguson insisted he can save Preston from the drop, despite seeing his side crash to two Adel Taarabt stunners at Loftus Road.
Queens Park Rangers, still unbeaten this season, returned to the top of the Championship as the Lilleywhites were cast adrift at the bottom of the table, five points from safety.
Ferguson, fielding all three of the loan signings he made this week in a bid to shore up his midfield and defence, said: “I believe I am the right man to keep us up, and I’m certainly not going to say anything else here.
“But I accept the results don’t back me up. I am the manager and I take responsibility, because that’s what managers must do.”
Taarabt, who did little for most of the match to justify the reputation he has built, ended any hope Preston had after a terrible start with two top quality individual goals.
First Kyle Walker, outstanding throughout, again gave a lesson in defending that allowed goalkeeper Paddy Kenny to launch a QPR attack.
When the ball reached Taarabt he strode forward before bending a long range shot around the despairing dive of Andy Lonergan.
His second was even better, a 25 yard thunderbolt that must have almost removed Lonergan’s finger-tips on its way into the roof of the net.
QPR boss Neil Warnock said: “We need people like Taarabt. He does tricks that even when I slow them down on the dvd I can’t see how he does it.
Those goals sealed Preston’s fate, but the writing had been on the wall since the opening exchanges when Rangers went ahead.
On-loan Kyle Walker, another Spurs player having a good day, got down the right and goalkeeper Andy Lonergan should have collected it comfortably. Instead he dropped it at the feet of the incoming Rob Hulse who bundled it over the line for his first goal in a QPR shirt.
Rangers weren’t at their best, but Preston were worse and it took some comedy defending for the visitors to get their consolation goal, Matthew Connolly beating his own keeper under no pressure, only the eighth time Kenny has picked the ball out of the net this season.
Warnock’s side had drawn seven of the previous nine games and face second placed Cardiff next week and he said: “These are exciting times at Loftus Road. We’ll lose eventually, but it may not be until May, but we will lose. We aren’t Arsenal.”

FOOTBALLQPR 3 PRESTON 1: ADEL ROBS HULSE OF THE GOAL GLORY
QPR 3 Preston 1 Sunday November 21,2010
GOLDEN oldie Rob Hulse rolled back the years but rising star Adel Taarabt burned brightest as QPR roared back into top spot.
Hulse, 31, (below) set them on the way with his first goal for the club. But Taarabt, 21, hit TWO 30-yard belters in the second half to leave rock-bottom Preston with only one win in their last nine.
Darren Ferguson’s side simply had no answer to his bombardment and now have England’s worst defensive record.
Preston were a goal down after three minutes.
Rangers full-back Kyle Walker swung in a searching cross, Preston keeper Andy Lonergan fumbled, making it a gift for Hulse, who bundled the ball home from four yards.
Taarabt struck on 56 minutes with a rocket of a shot, his seventh goal of the season. With six minutes to go, he hit home another thanderbolt.
Iain Hume gave Preston an 89th-minute consolation goal. Express
